This week it’s the start of my Autumn Fall Decorating 2023 so come and decorate with me! We are starting with the house porch or veranda as we call it here in England! It’s a full makeover, there will be lots of Fall porch decorating ideas, lots of upcycling home decor, thrifted decor, auction finds, foraging and decorating from the garden, even saving money by upcycling cushions with fabric dye! Long long ago. But through all the years my family has managed to keep English breakfast and traditional English things going. 😊 I can't wait to see what you do for Christmas, it's the best time to visit England.

The intro with the gorgeous mature landscaping in the background is perfection!!!! How can you go wrong when you start with those views!!!!! Always love your color and texture and layering choices. I am soooo like you! Love a clean space, hate the process of cleaning! Oh ,if I could just twitch my nose!!! The sanded nightstands with those amazing Rub and Buffed pots look phenomenal. Who would think only a third of each tube to do both pots!!! The color is pure fall at its best!!!! That green footed bowl on your new wood tray just took my breath away!!!! What a treasure! And you doing you ,is a stunning feast for the eyes and senses every time. The woods, the florals , the textures, patterns. Oh my, oh my, oh my…….could not be more right up my alley😍😍😍 The veranda exudes warmth, welcome, comfort, etc. We have so much humidity here in coastal SC and it makes it so hard to use and fabrics, linens, rugs, etc that aren’t meant for outdoors. I continually shop for “homey” outdoor though, I won’t go down to defeat😂😂 And there’s that gorgeous tray I loved last week🤎🤎 So inspiring…thanks so much🧡🍁🤎 I gonna whip up a batch of my Mom’s Friendship Tea, all the flavors of fall, and enjoy a cup while I ponder ideas for out porches🤔🤔🧡🤎

@@RuralRefurb I won’t go down to defeat😂😂 I’ll pull the tea recipe out in just a bit and send you the recipe. It makes a good size batch, I usually half the recipe. My mom, who was absolutely amazing, would make a big batch, put it into the cutest jars, pick up some seasonal mugs, and would drop off “a treat” for her friends when she was out and about…..yep, she was the most giving and thoughtful person I’ve ever known❤️❤️

Eager to get the recipe for the Friendship tea!

Alrighty, here’s the recipe❤️🫖☕️ Instant Spiced Tea Makes 2 quarts of dry mix Per cup of tea: use 2 teaspoons of mix into hot water (I always use more than that, however, I have a large mug) Ingredients: 1 lb jar of Tang 2 cups sugar (I cut back on sugar a lot now, plus the Tang has sugar already) 2 large pkgs of Lemonade (Wylers) Note:again already has sugar 1 1/2 cups of Instant Tea that’s in a jar 2 teaspoons of cinnamon, or adjust to your liking 1 teaspoon ground cloves I mix mine in an extra large bowl or Dutch over. Then I divide it into glass mason/ball jars. Feel free to half the recipe or even 1/4 it. Add to a teacup and ad extra hot water. After you have your first couple of sips, you can decide to add more mix, etc. Enjoy!!! ❤️

Thank you for not styling your porch with the standard decor from the big box stores that everyone has! Your porch is one of a kind filled with beautiful treasures that you have found. I live on the west coast of Florida and my home is over a hundred years old. I have three porches and find them so difficult to keep clean. Lots of blowing rain in the summer and so many critters (lizards, raccoons & possums, oh my!) that leave muddy footprints, overturned planted pots, etc! They have their own porch parties every night haha! But now I’m inspired to get out there and so some decorating so thank you for the inspiration!! Have a blessed week! -Michele

Such a relief your style is so unique :o) I actually always find pumpkins so lovely and cosy in someone else's home, but when it comes to my decorating I cannot bring myself to use them. You’ve made your porch gorgeous and so inviting.I love the colour palette so much. I’ve always decorated in traditional Fall colours, but switched it up this year to more muted colours of brown, green, a deep yellow and a bit of muted purple, and I was surprised how much I liked it. That’s part of the joy of decorating where you can change the feel of your space in as many ways as your imagination allows.

I love your gorgeous home ! I live In Tennessee in the United States. I have a big porch and large back porch. We are wanting to turn it into a sunroom. But it’s nice to have porches. Many home homes in the United States don’t have porches. I don’t think I could live without a porch. It’s too much fun to decorate a porch and express your personality. I love the hue’s. I also just do me which is to incorporate a bit of “traditional Autumn” things such as the grapevine wreath’s, wheat or pompous grass, pine cones etc. but I also love old books as shown here, and old baskets. 🧡💛
