A really cool idea! It's much easier to watch an opera if you already know what is going to be happening. (It's not like it's a thriller that you would watch for the twists in the plot :).) And this style of presentation, fun and lighthearted, is really nice -- those who might not like it are probably the kind of people who would prefer to read a much more in-depth analysis anyway. Well done!

Just found your videos! LOVE this opera! But the thing is I can't understand what they're saying idk if they're singing in English or Russian but either way I can't understand any opera. Is that just means or are you like not supposed to understand opera lyrics

Ms. Mandineau, What do you think is the difference between a mermaid and a water nymph? None ... right? They are both two wet sopranos. One slightly saltier than the other. :-)
