that fingering you use after the bar of 7/4 is so much tougher on yourself than just using a simple box shape. for example, you're doing the A on the 7th fret of the D string when you could be playing it on the 2nd fret of the G string and then you have much less of a stretch. That riff increases and decreases by a 4th, so you don't have to do any string skipping since everything is contained in the 2nd and 4th frets. Its much simpler. I've tried to do both and I don't know why anyone chooses to do it this harder way.

It makes the downward climbs easier in my opinion Yeah it's more strain while you're doing it, but it puts your hand in a better position for the song overall And after a few times playing through the song, most of the strain is gone for me
