I’m still broken up over Neil. I can confirm at age 33, that this was the most significant musician loss I have ever endured. I’m a drummer too, so ofcourse that adds to it. But in a positive light, I don’t think there’s anyway that geddy and Alex can look back on their 40-year career and be disappointed in anyway. They went out with a bang on the R40 tour, and honestly, geddy was clearly struggling to hit those notes. Not knocking the guy, I can’t believe he could hit them for 40 years the way that he did! I think for them, the universe really had a way of working itself out, where the guitars and sticks were hung up at exactly the right time. Bittersweet as it may be, rush has an amazing legacy they left behind, with music that will live forever, and fans who will never forget it.

I have heard die hard rush fans complain, but mainly because his style has changed a bit. He doesnt deliver vocals in the same manner he did years ago. He can definately sing and is quite talented, but now markedly different. The whole band started going in a different direction as well in the mid to late eighties, mostly in the name of reinventing and keeping it fresh. I still enjoy, but must admit I prefer the albums prior to 85', "Moving Pictures" being their piece de resistance or magnum opus in my opinion.

Odd that this happened but that's the story as to how i came to discover Rush, the 2112 album (my time CD), & our favy 'go to road trip' cd. Geddy was (still is) cute. Still, they always fight (in my head) w/ 1 of my favy bands, Led Zeppelin. When I miss my mommy (im in FL, her in PA), I play Rush & face time her & we actually sing & be funny together. R.I.P. Neil Peart you were the greatest drummer to EVER pick up the sticks (and wrote / arranged epic jams)! Thanks for the great tunes and for being a living inspiration for others. Neil Peart = 🐐 G.O.A.T.

These guys have been legends forever. Geddy has the most distinctive rock voice on the planet, as in, you hear the opening riff, and you know it's no one else.

Neil's warm-up is better than every other living drummer's best gig.
