two years ago I was on a uber ride with a muslin driver nearby DC and after he recognized im chinese, he kept questioning me of the "reeducation camp" and asked me if I condemn this. I was left speechless cuz first based on what I heard from media it was completely opposite of what he said. We all have seen what has happened in Kunming and Guangzhou and we knew there was terrorism in Xinjiang back then. I really wish i could know more like today. I told that driver he should look up the source of news and he said it's from "western media" like CNN and it's trustworthy. He kept telling me the chinese racial minority policy (no one child policy and extra credit to College entrance exam) were all fake news. I asked him if he has been to china, he said no and he'd rather trust cnn instead of me, who grew up in China. If US keeps creating conspiracy theories to attack your opponents, it will later be backfired by those conspiracy theories. Really appreciate your voice on this platform. There is absolutely not enough voice to at least speak against those lies about china in English. It's not only for the benefit of the Chinese but for the rest of ppl in this world.

I am A Vietnam era veteran. Me and all of my peers who were drafted by the US military to take part in that war are victims of the Military Industrial Complex. I also have to include the millions of innocent Vietnamese, Laotian and Cambodian civilians who perished and suffered in that conflict. Over time I as well as millions of other Americans have somehow figured out how to live and raise families knowing that a large part of our taxes have gone to support this military machine that prospers no matter what party is in power. I grew up in Xinjiang till 18, since then I've been living in different places but my family members are still there.
