Glad you showed it in use with different laptops, but it didn't mean that much considering they were ALL macbooks. Aside from that it pretty informative, thanks!

No one seems to fully demonstrate operating the laptop at the lowest height? Other stands seem to allow use of the laptop's inbuilt keyboard at lower heights. But the Roost seems to be 'too high' - even on the lowest setting? I can't really tell though, and I can't find this information anywhere on the net.

Hi, I'm a student at university and I am looking for a laptop stand that can serve for my laptop as well as for my courses (for example a binder with printed slides in it). Do you think that would be an option with the Roost laptop stand or not? I know it's tricky to find a stand that can serve for both purposes.

you want to put your binder on the laptop sleeve? Hmm... it's not designed for it, i'd say thats a niche use case. you could try it out and return it if it doesnt work for you. But regardless, this is a great laptop stand for your lappy. Will help to save your neck.

Thanks for the review. Do you think they’re strong and steady enough to use them as a tablet stand? I mean using when you draw on your ipad pro for example.
@RushfasterTV6 жыл бұрын
Hmm good question. Can't say for sure because I don't think it's ever been used for that purpose. I'd naturally say no, because it's designed to dock and elevate a laptop (and for no other reason). Bringing contact to it with a stylus might change the effectiveness of the stand. Additionally I don't think and iPad Pro would fit it properly. You're probably better off looking for a specific iPad Pro stand. Hope that helps! :)

I don't like that it has only 3 fixed levels. you should be able to set its height at whatever you wanted

Hmm yeah interesting point. I think they have the notches there because it guarantee's a stable fit, whereas I'm not 100% sure if giving an open setting will have the same structural security in the notch. But nevertheless, perhaps something for them to consider in the future if they ever make an updated version? - Ed
