The British Empire is crumbling. Its premier toilet paper - the $US is increasingly dumped in International Trade. The British Empire will no longer be able to steal the wealth of the world by paying with toilet papers. When you fantasise that Russia is "strapped for cash", you are just coping. Iran and China had very close relations since Parthian dynasty in Iran and the Han dynasty in China. Iran guaranteed the western end of the Silk Road and provided a safe land route to the European and Mediterranean market and China’s manufacturing provided the basis of a very lucrative trade route from which all benefited. This relationship only collapsed in recent history when West European countries discovered shipping routes that precluded the land route. Recent relations between Iran and China seek to renew this ancient relationship.

A good summary of the history between world powers and its relationship with contemporary geopolitics. Being students of history, it's no surprise the Kings and Generals team can navigate politics so readily. After all, history is essentially the story of politics over time... with the occassional natural disaster and pandemic thrown in. We can never discount nature's ability to throw a curve ball at the best laid plans of humankind. I'm enjoying the modern content but also love the historical stuff, so keep up all the good work!

All the mobile war games are the same. Freemium that plays on people's nature to compete and then buy all the resources packs to dominate other players. One of the original games that started this genre was Game Of War: Fire Age. In development, MachineZone had a team of psychologists that they consulted to create the game and make it extremely addicting. You see a lot of casino elements in these types of games. Definitely not good if you have an addictive personality. I actually made rent through college running 40 farm accounts in that game and selling resources to the players who would pay a ton of money to get an advantage (whales) so it worked out for me but I saw how addicted these people were.

The primary problem with the US is it fails to recognize that societies develop uniquely in diverse circumstances. Imposing democracy on other nations does not guarantee immediate transformation into an American-like society, as it can have devastating consequences and cost lives. While post-WWII changes in Germany, Japan, and Italy were successful, these countries had a long history of development and modernization, unlike the distinct situations in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria.

China does not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries, which is written into the Chinese Constitution. Iran is too preoccupied to interfere with other countries. Since the Soviet Union, Russia has only done less in interfering with other countries than the United States, not without doing so. It is just that Russia's economy is declining and its ability to intervene in foreign countries has weakened.

In short, the Israeli government sees Iran's nuclear programme as a major threat and they have stated that any further expansion of Tehran's nuclear power will be seen as a cassus beli to which they would respond with a preemptive strike(and not necessarily a bombing strike but a potential nuclear warhead strike, even though Israel denies international claims of their posession of nuclear warheads)

yes Iran and China had very close relations since Parthian dynasty in Iran and the Han dynasty in China.

They might be cooperating militarily but China and Iran are already deciding on how to take over Russia's sphere's in Central Asia and Caucuses before someone else like Turkey, India, or the USA moves into some of the countries in those areas. Another problem is that China is on the verge of being a global power, rather than just a regional one. They should be the clear leader of a coalition. Not at all, those are the means by which the rulling class sells to workers that they need to fight other workers in a distant land. War is always about economics. US oil industry benefits a lot of all its wars, not because the lazy analysis of them being robbing oil, is not about that, US has plenty of oil and gas in its own land, but markets are about controlling the prices and by waging war, destroying potential competitors and making countries abide by US rules is the way they control it, selling always high even though the world has plenty to give. How much oil US robbed in Ukraine Russia war? Basically none, but sanctioning an entire and big oil and gas manufactorer that is Russia and selling to all its in need customers already made US oil and gas sector huge gains. The same strategy was used with The Fruit Company, and you cant forgot that US was rich, but after ww2 and their contracts to repair europe, the US construction sector gained huge amounts of money. So there is no such thing as morals and "fears" its the interest of the few at the expense of the many, nothing new.

If you think about the original Axis it was vary much an alliance of convenience. The NATO alliance was build on years of shared conflicts and struggles. Alone side strong economic and strategic reasons to unite together. There economic need for US aid after WW2 to rebuild and there shared threat of the soviet union built that alliance. Now you are seeing these countries needing some sort of support as they are being sanctioned and strategically threatened by the US. I think we are sorta seeing the rise of a new dipolarity in global politics. With Western Neo-Liberal Capitalism on oneside and an Eastern Conservative (in a global sense, not saying Xi Jinping is like a republican) Authoritarian Capitalism on the other.

Could NATO be be considered a alliance of convenience too? Aren't all aliances like that? Like the US Saudi aliance. US with Pinochet. US with a number of non democratic nations including Spain during it dictatorial period. I think that many Americans in fact see the NATO alliance as inconvenient at the moment which would explain the massive popularity of Trumps attacks on US permanence on NATO. Feels to me that a lot of people, Europe included as per Macrons speeches on the subject, are finding very convenient to continue its economic alignment with China even if in detriment of the US. From my perspective, someone in the global south, I don't see the US and NATO as the good guys nor China. Both sides are struggling in games of empire, as is to be expected, and we don't have to pick a side other than our own.

@@juliujacobsen9928 People seem to forget that Trump was pretty much reiterating what past presidents were complaining about European defense obligation in a much more rude and brash manner. He pretty much warned Germany not to be dependent on Russian oil where he was laughed at. Also Macron is pretty mucha black sheep at this point. Eastern Europe especially Poland are firmly on America's side and most conflict within NATO are among European states

@@juliujacobsen9928 To a degree yes, but not really. Russia and China are natural foes who are only working together because of the US. Europe and America may not agree on everything, but by this point they have shared values and a vested interest in keeping a long-term partnership with one another. Even if Russia and China stopped existing, the US and Europe would still be allies- at least for a while- just because they've become so close. As well, the US really doesn't want to take over Europe, and Europe can't/wouldn't want to take over America, so even if tensions exist or would exist without common foes, it would be a long time before any serious conflicts came up. Contrast that with Russia and China who would throw each other under the bus with no remorse the second it becomes beneficial to.

@@genghiskhan5701 Macron said out loud what is said in low voices in Europe... as is tradition for French presidents to do. Other than Macron you just have to look at what Germany is DOING in regards to China. Trump was laughed at all the time for a number of reasons and this time was the one occasion the broken clock was right and wasn't laughed at... at least in my circles. Germany wasn't worried about closing ties to Russia because its energy was so cheap and what would keep the German industry viable. Without that next to free gas from Russia Germany has just gone into technical recession from which it won't come out of any time soon. Also. Who blew up the pipeline? Was it Russia? Did they really have the most to win from it?

Does "the other country" have united nations membership?😒 Does your country have official diplomatic relations with them?😂 Oh~but they have indeed been active in the united nations for a period of time, even they are one of the five permanent members😲 and the nameplates in front of their desk say.............CHINA.😏🤭😄😂

I seriously love all of your content, and I find the work you are doing on modern conflicts and geopolitical affairs are a fantastic source of information in this age of misinformation!!
