Kings and Generals animated historical documentary series on Modern Warfare continues with the aftermath of the first phase of the Russian Invasion of Ukraine in 2022 ( • How Ukraine Won the Fi... ). Previously we talked about the build-up to the new stage of the Russo-Ukrainian War, how Putin's unprovoked invasion of Ukraine continued, and covered events between February 24th and April 7th, as we saw how Ukraine managed to win the first phase of the war. This set up the second phase of the war - battle of Donbas. In the previous video we covered the events of April of 2022 ( • Battle of Donbas Begin... ) including the sinking of the rocket cruiser Moskva - • How did the Sinking of... , and how the conflict turned into the war of attrition in May ( • War of Attrition - Rus... ). In this video we will cover the events of June, which became the best month for the Russian offensive. We will talk how the Ukrainian front in Zolote-Hirske area crumbled and how Russia managed to push the Ukrainians out of Severedonetsk and Lysychansk. This video will also discuss the Ukrainian counter-offensive in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia, and the introduction the HIMARS MLRS and its immediate impact on the conflict due to the destruction of the Russian supply depots.

There are indications that Polish PT-91 Twardy tanks (~230) could be send on Ukraine. Also US was trying to get some Soviets tanks from other sources. Possibly including some Yugoslavian M-84. So maybe this number is accurate?

The war offers a glance into the fog of war that shrouds the true details of what happened. It's easy to retrospectively call generals stupid for blunders and not preparing for some unassuming situation that became a catastrophe, but to predict what will happen in real-time and then allocated a finite number of resources to a plan that may or may not be sufficient is another matter.

@@Ba5edAF Very biased remark. The Vietnam war was very much protested by US citizens and because of its unpopular nature was ended by the current administration. Libya, Yemen and Syria are civil wars and very difficult to understand and help in. Russia intervened in Syria and caused more suffering than all of the terrorist factions and Assad together over the last 10 years. Ukraine lies at the gates of Europe. (it actually still is Europe) Culturally closer to Europe than any other country at war or civil war. It has nothing to do with racism. More with culturism. A culture that you understand better or closer to you will receive more empathy and help than those farther away. In Ukraine the situation is also very well understood and clear despite the ridiculous Russian propaganda. There is one big power hungry criminal regime that needs to be stopped or it will just try to devour more countries. And that is what Ukraine is doing. If I were a leader of a European country I would send troops over there to help defend the Ukrainian borders. Not to assault obviously. But make the Russians pay very dearly for every inch of land.

@justanaverageguy912
@justanaverageguy912 Жыл бұрын
@@mrduckman225 MSM reports on what the masses want to hear about, and the masses simply have a short attention span. There are PLENTY of msm outlets out there that provide accurate information, the problem is just the amount of detail and focus of this information is usually aimed at the average human, not at some autistic KZbin dwellers that want to dive head first into a 3-hour recap of a war that goes step by step, like me (and presumably you). It is simply not relevant to the masses, it is not interesting to the masses, and so what you might think is massively interesting is simply only offered in an abbreviate fashion. We are rare creatures with niche interests, but that doesn't immediately mean the world is out to get us, just because MSM doesn't provide what we are looking for. I am not saying there are no MSM outlets that are completely fucked and really are just out to spread their political messaging, but attributing this behaviour as a blanket on all MSM outlets, like there is some shadowy hand behind it, is (in my opinion) not grounded in reality. srsly tho, it's great people like you exist, that want more from the world than just a surface level skim on topics that are dominating the fate of the entire globe.

Great video! I have one slight issue. I think you're underplaying the amount of aid other countries are providing to the Ukraine. I've noticed it in the last few videos too. In my opinion, the way you frame it is that the US is basically the only one providing aid. I think this downplays the massive contributions by countries like Poland and the UK as well as smaller countries like Estonia who proportionally are providing the most. Perhaps specifying what equipment is being provided by each country may help this issue.

This YT’er is vey good at walking line between including small minute details that only the top 10% most hardcore would enjoy and everyone else get bored vs flip side where it’s only the big news headline stories. It’s a good mix And he weaves them together to form a narrative at just the right point where he honestly is one of first people to do so for each chunk of info So subconsciously his videos are making a huge impact on determining the shared history of living during this war and how it’s rememeberednin our children’s and grandchildren’s lives and so on . These videos have probably a bigger affect than anything else as of yet since anything else is just little snippets and not an actual narrative of history that can be followed, dated, sourced etc There’s some food for thought

Hi! I really like and appreciate these recaps of the war, month by month, even if you almost have to wait for the whole the next month to pass before you upload. But there's a lot of details and information to first get hold of, somehow. Then cross compare it and deduct what's not reasonably true vs what's most likely true/the most accurate representation of what events took place. And even, in some cases, how they in some detail, managed to pull it off! But! And here's that other side of the coin of feedback.. Sometimes you just glance over some of the important events that took place. And other times, like at 22:39, you show one of the attacks on the map, with that "fist of revolt", which is a very clear and easy symbol for anyone to understand, and nicely done animation-wise too! Yet, and here's my critique.. you also mention that there was an attempt to burn down the conscript office in Perm, yet you don't show where Perm is located, leaving your audience to think it might be a part of the suburbs of Belgorod or a close proximity, smaller city or village.. However.. a quick search reveals that, alas no.. Perm is nowhere near Belgorod. But hey, I understand that all these animations and movements over the map might take quite a bit of time to create possible. Or maybe it's very simple. Like, placing markers at different locations on this map that you already have created, adding some animated symbols, like that "fist of revolt" and then the program does the rest and just grant you some control over the speed of the transition and the "zoom out and zoom in" part of the sequence. If the latter is the case.. I really don't see why you couldn't have added it for any reason, other than laziness. Or that you have so many projects/videos that you simultaneously are working on that the work load is just over the top. But then I say. Make fewer videos. And make them really good instead of starting the trend of skipping a few things here and there.. because that's a slippery slope into banality and mainstream trash content. But let me be perfectly, crystal clear here. I'm not saying that you're heading that way. I'm only saying, that it easily happens, without you, yourself, even noticing it. Because that's what fame does to you. When you don't have to make a serious effort anymore, that's when the passion in general, but especially the passion for details goes right out the window for most! So this is just a slight warning. A heads up, if you will.. to remind you to always look back at the path you walked, as you move forward! Especially since you seem to expand very fast during the last 6 months or so. Adding a whole new (very questionable) platform (TikTok) and so on.. Also, upgrade your explosion animation. Because it's not on par with your other animations, as of now. It's simply.. not animated enough, if you catch my drift.. ; ) Anyhow.. all the best! I really like your channel! So.. you know.. Don't fix it, if it ain't broke! And it certainly isn't! ; )

Pretty simple, US armed Free Syrian Army and other supposed 'moderates' based on a few protests, which Al Nusra, an al Qaeda affiliate was bolstering, destabilized the government's ability to secure the country, which then became a breeding ground for more radical groups, birth of ISIS and their caliphate, everyone besides the US had to clean it up, including Iranians, Shia paramilitaries, Kurds, Syrian forces, and Russia. Turks invaded and wiped out Kurdish gains at the betrayal of the US's compliance to this, since Kurds were supported by the US for fighting ISIS. Meanwhile, the US still antagonizes the Syrian government, and Israel makes frequent aerial incursions, bombing Syrian government forces, which they have conducted since the beginning, the last one five days ago and nobody cares... You can figure out why this all had to happen based on the relationship between Syria and Israel.

Propaganda, it's pretty far fetched. Kings and Generals manages to report death tolls and statistics as accurate as he could realistically cover distant, ancient battle with their exaggerated and biased sources, yet we're in the 21st century and it's happening in front of us. He's no doubt using the same methodology as a HISTORIAN to analyze an ongoing conflict as a political/war analyst, that's very fallible. Truth evades us.
