I raised an eyebrow at that quip. I really enjoy the attempt to provide an impartial narrative - the perfect foil for a crack exposing dry, cerebral humor. He's talking about Russia saying it will continue with providing and allowing Ukraine's ships to keep transporting grain thru the black sea, not about their warship getting hit. Listen to it from 18:20-40. Wether Russia likes it or not, ukraine and other parties such as the U.N and Turkey were going to continue transporting or allowing the transport of Ukrainian grain ships supply grain such as maize and wheat to other countries markets, especially poorer countries in Africa. After their ship was hit Russia wanted put of the Grain Deal, but other countries just ignored Russia and continued to allow Ukraine to use its ships to send it's grain for export thru international ports via the black sea, wether Russia wanted to block it or not the others just kept doing what they were doing before, wether Russia said it would allow Ukrainian ships to pass or not. Nobody asked Russia what it intends to do because they were going to keep doing it anyway, the Grain Deal included Russia,Ukraine,Turkey (because Turkey controls the strategic straits out of the black sea route) and the U.N representing the rest of the other nations. That's what he meant by like anyone asked,it wasnt about Russia's warship getting attacked but Russia's participation in the Grain Deal after the attack, because Russia was angry and said it wouldn't want to be part of the deal anymore after what Ukraine did striking one of its warships.

Regarding the LNG situation in Germany, I just read an article a while ago, that not only has Germany nearly finished constructing its first LNG terminal, but they even planned, managed its bureaucracy and possibly even started constructing a gas pipeline from the LNG terminal to its existing natural gas pipeline system, which under normal situation would have taken a decade in the German bureaucratic system, but now they estimate the entire project could be finished in less than 8 months.

they probably provided even more. unfortunately a lot of (military) goods and financially aid don't get reported on in news and overlooked by people. as an example: i haven't seen anything about the support The Netherlands has provided to Ukraine but just yesterday our minister of defense announced that we already sent support worth around €350 million, and that's only the worth of the things sent (pledged support is not yet included in that number). early November The Netherlands together with the US and the Czechs decided to sent 90 updated/modernized T-72 tanks to Ukraine. (The Dutch don't have those tanks but provide funds to either buy them from the Czech Republic or to pay for their replacements) so i'm sure a lot of other countries did sent support to but didn't make it into the news (yet) it would be nice to get a complete overview of all the support Ukraine has received (from all countries worldwide)

I think it accurately captures the world's attitude towards Russia's attempt to stop the grain shipments and then try to reverse that when they failed. So perhaps he could have said that instead. "Russia tried to cancel the grain deals and they failed. The world ignored them and Turkey protected the Convoy. Faced with failure, Russia said they would support the grain shipments, which many openly mocked resulting Russia's embarrassment and further loss of prestige. " But it wouldn't have been a funny.

Another fantastic video analysis! Your presentations are graphically stunning, and very easy to follow. You add a nice dash of snark here and there for entertainment value. I appreciate the running total of confirmed losses on both sides at the end. Quality work, keep it up. Thank you for what you do. Best wishes from Aotearoa New Zealand!

28:15 ?? Winter is an excellent time for offensives in this region (if you are properly equipped (I expect the Ukrainians are more likely to be properly equipped than the Russians)). I would expect the pace of advance to pick up once the mud and rivers freeze. It's in the fall and spring mud seasons that speed and agility are nearly impossible to achieve. The recent Ukrainian successes are all the more impressive when you remember that they've been fighting the fall mud for the past couple of months in addition to the Russians.

As someone with a degree in wildlife biology and who took entomology and worked as a pest control technician I am very curious to know how any army would deploy mosquitoes in winter! That said, using animals who don't give a hoot for human politics to fight a human war is not a new idea, nor is it restricted to regimes who believe that all problems can be fixed with propaganda. According to my mammalogy teacher the USA considered strapping incendiary devices to bats and using them as weapons during WWII. Luckily for the bats this plan was scrapped.

It was stopped because the testing facility caught on fire by the very bats strapped with incendiary. It was considered successful but shipping millons of bats in a ship or airplane is kinda problematic.
