It used to not be like this. I studied education in the former USSR and that is one of the few things the USSR did well was mass producing large amount of people with technical skills. I still see this in Russian and Ukrainian IT companies there are alot more women in these sectors compared to the west. This is something Putin and his gang of thieves managed to screw up. What they were poor at was educating people in the softer disciplines, well insert peculiar Communist party job title here.

Poor Ukraine allegedly is kept with bare minimum of weaponry. Everyone around is afraid to do something akin to what Israel did. Such a disgrace. I pretty much lost all faith in this world.

I like to see your citation cuase any source ive seen about russians without indoor plumbing is less then 25 percent, though i was able to find that the lack of indoor plumbing is increasing in America cuase of lack of upkeep on infrastructure.

@@morstyrannis1951 I can vouch for the 75 literacy rate in the US. Lived in Chicago my whole life at least twenty percent of my friends did not know how to read. I know this because I read for them when i could. Chicago was filled with people from the former USSR most with advanced degrees driving hacks or working as security guards with advanced degrees from the former USSR that were not worth the paper they were printed on during the 90s and 00s. Some entered the Chicago public school system and became teachers that made for some wild times for us though hahaha. Huge cultural differences they expected us to show up and be eager to learn.

I didn’t not know that our healthcare and education is in crises! Just because it looks otherwise from inside: every months yet another bunch of schools gets renovated, we got rid of the stupidity of the Bologna standards and I love the way my younger daughter is taught. As for the healthcare it is improving with an impressive speed. Every month there’s smth new like a renovated local clinic or hospital or new service…My mother in law was recently diagnosed with cancer and I was amazed at the speed and quality of care provided.

We have our problems but if you think Russia is the same as the UK, you are delusional.... I waited a few weeks for surgery in a nice hospital with plenty of well trained staff, nice food and enough medicine.......
