The grip that you don't like on the wrist, with that grip you push on the arm to straighten it towards his side of the body. Ismael Borrero, am olympic gold medalist used that grip on his 2 on 1's almost exclusively

Just a note... even if you dont slip the arm off the, you still have a 2 on 1 and an angle outside the "shield" of the collar tie and several takedown opportunities are now available that werent before, but this is also why its important to slip the tie before your opponent gets it set in

what am i doing wrong if i get them in a russian tie and they just circle to me
@jinxit2 жыл бұрын
does it make sense to try to go for uchi mata from russian tie?
@TeachMeGrappling2 жыл бұрын
yes you can but usually its to get a better position rather than a full throw.

@@TeachMeGrappling is it dangerous for my partner if I keep the russian tie while doing uchi mata? I'm asking because I tried it in training, and it seemed to work but my partner didn't know what to do, so he essentially face-kneed himself. I though he should've just "rolled" through the other arm, but I didn't want to give him advice which could be dangerous...
@ericsynatschk54592 жыл бұрын
@@jinxit use it to snap your opponent down. When they defend the uchi mata from there, they will have to drop their head

@@jinxit I recommend Fanatic Wrestling for Uchi Mata from Russian two on one - Like coach said, it can be used to for better position. Like taking the back in grappling (bjj/mma).
