Russian River - Happy Hops - 6.5% ABV

I love they they brew Happy Hops! If you want the classic dry, pine, resin and bitter IPAs, they've got it. And if you want to switch it up with some new school fruity, Happy Hops is fantastic.

No joke just finished one about 15 mins ago. Great beer. Lucky to be able to just grab RR beers at the local supermarket. Prefer to drink at the pub tho once it opens back up. Row 2, Hill 56 is tasting amazing right now if you can get a bottle.

I love Row 2! I had a few cans and drank them so fast I didn't even think of doing a review, haha. Next time. Once all this nonsense is over, I'll make a trip up to the new place and check it out. Can't wait!

Randomly just got a small box of RR, this was in it. I love this beer, I definitely think Mosaic is in this. Maybe some amarillo too? Who knows one time i tried to guess hops blind in a monkish beer and failed hard lol

Cans are so much easier than bottles. I don’t really think I’d be able to tell the difference between a canned beer and bottled beer if it were given to me blind.

I've had this, and honestly, there's nothing special. In all honesty, I don't understand the hype. I'm born and raised in Cali and Russian River makes okay beer. Not hating. There's 10 breweries that I can name that make the same style beers as them and destroy them. There's some bars near me that have their beers on tap and pass everytime. They are meh!

I think it's hard to find WC IPAs that beat Dribble Belt, R2H56, Pliny, DDH Pliny, Pliny4Prez, and Younger, for the style that each of those beers is. I'm not a huge fan of their other hoppy beers, but they are definitely good. I just don't think they're better than many readily available beers like Swamis, for example.

Swamis isn’t readily available though right? I don’t know Pizza Ports distro range to be honest. Now that RR ships, literally anyone in CA can get it ya know? I’m not saying their beers are the end all be all, but I can’t think of 10 breweries that destroy them in the WC style 🤷🏻‍♂️. Back in the day, Alpine is the only one I’d say did.
