Indeed this episode had a lot of parts placement, great job done on that modification as well Johnny. Never expected that the SAM-6 would be such an engaging build. Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend!

Hey Johnny! Your service in the Army was never more evident to me as in this video! I laughed so hard when I heard you giggle about "...filling cracks...". Man, from your onscreen appearance I always took you for a decent, sophisticated, slightly older than me, southern gentleman! But now I know deep down inside you're still wearing BDUs - and I love it!!! 😍💕💓

Hi Simon, speaking for myself, I refuse to let politics or ideology dictate what subjects to model. If it's a nice kit, it's a nice kit. I just enjoy modeling. So, it looks like only half as many people (or less) are watching this build compared to most of my other builds, I'm sure world events have a lot to do with it. Thanks so much for being one of the few that are watching this build, I really appreciate it. Take care and model on my friend. Johnny

Hi Johnny, that wzs a great update on your build, I could see by the end of the build it is going to be a monstet of a kit, congratulations on the great progress, what part of the US are you from? Best regards from Australia, Les

Hi Les, yes, it's going to be a large vehicle when done. As for where I'm at, well, it's a small town called Bluefield in southern West Virginia in the US. It's so funny, when I was in the army and I told people that I was from West Virginia, they would say "oh, I've been to Virginia before", not knowing that there is a difference between West Virginia and Virginia, LOL. It's almost like they had never heard of "West Virginia". But, I think next year I'll be moving to Georgia, that's the Georgia in the US and not in Europe, lol. Thanks so much for watching my friend, take care and model on!! Johnny

Moving right along. I usually glue on the hatch and grab handles for the last of the building session. It gives the glue a chance to harden up really well. After you trim off the sprue gate from the handles, dab a little extra thin on them after clean up. It smoothes out any scratches left behind. 👍

@@hillbillymodeling As you do use A LOT of TET, I have to ask you if you know about the "trick" with Tamiya Airbrush Cleaner?

Looking good, Johnny. One thing I do on the turret ring on both sides, is mask it off before priming and painting. Sometimes these things are made with aerospace tolerances 😆and when you put the turret / launcher on the hull and turn it I've had the turret "traumatically disassemble" itself! 🤪 Masking it helps reduce that friction. That's just me though.

Thanks so much, I too have had problems with turret fit most of the time. I fit them as well as I can then after painting, I have gotten into the habit of using isopropyl alcohol to clean the paint off of the contact areas. It works really well for me. Thanks for the tip, take care and model on! Johnny

@@hillbillymodeling Yup, cleaning with IPA takes a lot less effort than masking! Although weirdly, unmasking always makes me feel like a kid under the Christmas tree 🙂
