Rusted Cross Peen Hammer RESTORATION

This is the very first video on this channel. There are alot of small projects i have like this so i decided to make another channel instead of uploading these projects on Random Hands. Here is the whole procedure i have done:
o. Removed Rust by Diluted Sulphuric Acid.
o. Used wire brush with Water for cleaning surface.
o. Drum sander and Belt sanders were used for sanding.
o. Styrofoam used for making the mold.
o. Used my own foundry for melting Brass from Random Hands.
o. Red wood was used for making handle.
o. Clear painted the handle.
o. All the metals were shined with Dewalt Bench Grinder machine.

Looks almost like a jewelers hammer, it's off center, and the handle should be sanded with 100 grit as to a finer grain so when you spray the varnish it will fill quicker and look finished. Looks good 😌

The correct name for that hammer is a WARRINGTON hammer.It was originally from Warrington in England and used by cabinetmakers.The cross pein is the flat head on it . The round head should be BELLED so as not to bruise wood when driving brads.Not a criticism just helpful information I hope.

2:32 is as far as I would have gone to restore this hammer to as close to original authenticity as possible. However "Metal Hurts" had more in mind for this hammer and proceeded to build according to his vision. I applaud the results, I won't be one of those being critical. I personally prefer the older look, simply getting rid of the surface rust, possibly treating it to avoid further rust, then if I'm really lucky I'd find an equally old handle for it. It's a matter of taste, anyone finding fault of the resultant shiny hammer ought to know better!
