Lilithmon X VS Heavymetaldramon!! | Digimon Card Game: EX7 Digimon Liberator Cup (ROUND 1)

This is Round 1 of the Digimon Liberator Cup, a tournament featuring 8 decks from the 7th theme booster of the Digimon Card Game: Digimon Liberator. The first two decks to clash are Lilithmon X and Heavymetaldramon. With EX7 support in the form of Lilithmon X and a new evolution line, the purple Lilithmon deck has become more ruthless in its board control, able to spawn more bodies while sacrificing the opponent's to survive. On the other hand, the Purple / Red Heavymetaldramon deck makes its debut in EX7 and revolves around an aggro strategy of swarming, powerful attacks and destruction fueled by Dark Dragon / Evil Dragon discards. Which version of Purple will score the first victory in this tournament?

Decided to kickstart EX7 before resolving EX6! (Still thinking of the best way to do that while fitting it into my schedule). Off to a late start but I hope to complete Round 4 before moving on to BT18, even if it exceeds the BT18 release date. I think based on my current workload, from now on Semi-Finals/Finals are likely to be skipped depending on the tightness of my schedule/set releases. I guess I shouldn't be calling these tourneys anymore then? For now, just gonna focus on trying to complete Rounds 1-4 of EX7 without taking too long. Fingers crossed!

If your schedule is that busy maybe instead of tournaments you should do what you did for bt9, rb1 and ex4 and just do exhibition matches? That way there won't be any pressure with trying to finish before set releases and it'll be less work than a whole tournament

The way that the Liberator theme is cut without fade (compared to the first transition from the same song earlier in the match) during the finale gives Lilithmon that villain vibes she deserves. Love the match! Keep up the good work, good sir

Man, I love Liberator (the song) as a background theme for this. This tournament sounds like it’s gonna be a banger music wise. Cendril bs Zephagr is gonna be two Liberators (the song) blasting at each other. Tlalocmon vs Linkz is gonna have Beat Hit and Linkz themes (dare I believe in the Linkz Island theme making a return?) and 3 Musketeers vs Hexe is probably gonna be Liberator (since 3Ms is Violet’s deck) and Hexe might be some New Century music or something. Definitely super excited.

Let's goo Lilith! Finally glad to see her getting a deck of her own variety. Honestly that deletion protection of Lilith is insane, allowing her to also target opponent's Digimon in order to survive. HeavyMetal's not one to underestimate tho, his DP deletions and being able to summon cards like Oboromon and Megidra ACE are crushing Skullmammothmon back from ST14 lol.

Prediction before the start: Heavymetal loses; it's just a bit too clunky without support. It can wreck some things with it's removal; but it's prone to bricks and needs it's pieces really fast to get going. Edit: and of course the perfect setup for a turn 2 Heavymetal happens. Despite that, they still lose.

A cool tec in heavymetaldramon is gallantmon Crimson mode. Giving you a cool tec on top of metaldramon i also run the black growlmon purple/red to trash a little more and ad your aces back

12:33 Shouldn't the inherit of Proto Form trigger when Lilith X would be deleted? It's a mandatory interruptive effect. From what I understand, it triggers whenever you use protection such as Evade or Armor Purge. Is that different in the case of Lilith X? Later on, you also use Calling from Darkness on Lilith X, which should also trigger Proto Form. *SPOILER GUARD* Ultimately, I don't think this would've mattered. Lilith won anyway and I feel like getting the Proto Form trigger (and potentially back to your hand) would have helped Lilith even more

Just a heads up, the Musketeer vs. Hexe matchup is going to suck. I feel lile Hexe gets hard countered by Musketeers, since the source-trash mechanic gets BODIED by the Options that DeDigivolve and Delete when trashed.

When Megidra ACE would leave the Battle Area, it can be converted into a Rush Guilmon while negating Overflow!

Ignitemon x lilithmonX effect works? In other tcg when you destroy one of your creatures to activate A effect, if the destroyed creature survives, A effect doesn't trigger. Someone can confirm if ignitemon can attack and activate his effects and then save lilithmonX using her effect?

That's exactly what happened. A effect (Ignite's deletion) didn't trigger. It was Lilith X's protection effect that deleted the opposing Digimon

Not that it would have changed anything, but the proto form it's an interruptive mandatory effect when the Digimon would be deleted so, since the first time Lilith x was gonna be deleted, that proto should have come to sec and a source from Lilith to hand.
