Burriquito Restoration - Goodbye to Rust with a Powerful Rust Laser Cleaning Machine!

In this video, I restored an old Spanish machete.
It is the first time I have used laser cleaning technology to remove rust in my restoration videos, and I am happy with the result. There were a few spots when the laser couldn't do the job well because of the thickness of the rust, but with a bit of brushing, the problem was solved. It is my first Machete restoration, so please let me know in the comments section if you enjoyed the video and the outcome. Only 200w and yes, it is a pulse laser.

Question about the laser. Does it vaporize the rust? Do you wear a mask/ventilator when you do it?

It does! You can see in the video that and there is a ventilator too. Mask it is mandatory!

You can find a lot of dealers online, especially from China. A decent one can be around 30-35k dollars.

What a waste. After the laser it has great patina and character, then you sanded it anyway and lost all that.

That's your opinion. Actually was looking ugly because of hundreds of rust pits and in 1 week all the rust will reappear. Now looks amazing with almost mirror finish like this machete used to have. I really didn't saw any kind of "laser patina" in my life...

@@rustyshadesrestoration Machetes usually don't have a mirror finish. It is usually a brushed metal finish. They are tools that get used so any mirror finish will be gone very quickly.
