I kinda just stumbled upon this song, but I resonate with this song. I left to another state to be with my family (I was 28), and I tried a long distance relationship. But I just knew he wouldn’t follow me because of his family. But the longer I stayed the longer I’d feel like I was drowning. I had to end it for both of us since nothing will change. I still love him deeply. I want to be with him because he was my person. I can’t look at others even though I sometimes I want to just so I don’t feel so lonely, but it wouldn’t be fair to this person. I didn’t know how to describe what I was feeling but this song broke me down. This song I just found because of your TikTok and I was okay, I was okay until I read your description of the chorus on Genius: “The hope that you may find some healing/comfort in my music is why I write.
