My question is- how is the outer aluminum attached to the framing?

Usually staples on the outside and lower portions. It's like "siding." Usually has an S channel and that is what seals it/waterproofs it.

This was cool to watch just to see the infrastructure. Makes me want to buy a junk camper just to strip it, recycle the recyclables, then fabricate a bed on the chassis for a 2 axle flatbed cargo trailer. My lungs hurt from watching you not wearing masks during the insulation/carpet/mouse shit removal.

The siding crimps together and would be nearly impossible to reassemble. I had your thought in the beginning of this process but I was wrong!!!

Though it makes us sad, we're doing the same to our RV. Just too rotten. Are you guys rebuilding it or making a trailer?

Aaron- Did you ever end up demolishing your RV? I have a junk removal and holling business and accepting an assignment to demolish a fifth w heel, and was wondering what’s the best way to do that? Also could I keep the chassis to build a flatbed trailer?

@@michaelcrose9281 Doing it this spring. Siding goes in a metal pile, wood gets burned, plastics go in a rented dumpster. Chassis will be used for a truck build and yes many use the camper frames for trailers!
