Our first upgrade is always the mattress. Solar will definitely be way up on the list when we go fulltime.

You're smart! We absolutely should have done the mattress right away, won't make that mistake again.

i would add shades for the windows. the regular blinds get damaged easy. we are replacing with a pull down type

That's a great point! We took out the blinds in ours and I just added curtains. But I agree the pull down type would be the way to go.

Great ideas for renovating or upgrading an RV. Our RV is newer and one thing that is a small upgrade that I appreciate is the led battery motion sensor lights for the small storage that we have in all our cabinets and pantry. Makes a nice difference finding anything.

That’s a great idea! I think we would incorporate something like that in our next renovation

I really would love to upgrade our mattress one day when it's in the budget!

Agreed - it's definitely a financial commitment. That's exactly why we didn't do it in the beginning but about a month into full timing we realized we needed an upgrade.

I live full-time in a 2000 Monaco dynasty motorhome although I have not renovated it I am always seem to be either fixing or upgrading something. It’s no different than living in the house except this house gets treated like a Paint shaker every time you drive on our lovely roads.

you may have already covered this in another video.... but can you say what - in general - you ran off solar power? assuming all your charging, lights, water pump, fans... fridge? Did you also have a moveable panel that you could supplement with when parking camper in shade? I'm really intrigued by the idea of solar! Thanks in advance.

Hi! Yes, we've touched on this a time or two but basically our solar charges our batteries, which can power everything except our AC unit (it's just too much). We have it set up so we can run AC & DC power off our batteries. Our fridge draws quite a bit of power and drains the batteries quickly, so we usually just stick to running it off of propane. But everything else is battery/solar! I would love for Cole to do a solar breakdown video sometime down the line.
