Not filling up the water tank before hand is brilliant. I used to have an RV and for some reason that never occurred to me. Granted, we did a lot of dry camping so we didn't always have access to water.

If you are camping at a campground, it is a good idea to keep the water tanks low to save on fuel. Thanks so much for watching! ;-)

Thanks for going over the differences between renting from a large outfit vs. renting from a peer-to-peer platform Mike! You addressed one question I had from your last RV rental vid: What do they provide in terms of dishes, utensils, linens, etc. and what does the renter need to bring? (As you know from experience, I tend to be *just* a bit of an over-packer, so it would be nice to already have those items in place.😂) Yes, your featured RV did have some nice upgrades and kitchen. Thank you for the helpful video! 👍

Thanks so much for this. I’m planning my first RV rental and an epic cross-country trip and this and your other videos have been immensely helpful. What do people do for insurance when they rent peer to peer? How is mileage managed? What if there’s a mechanical problem with the vehicle along the way?
@RoadTripTravel3 жыл бұрын
Hey Kathy, my pleasure. Very cool, you're going to have a great time. Insurance is included in the rental when using a peer-to-peer like Outdoorsy or RVezy. The mileage various, some people have unlimited, others have a limit, such as 100 per day. This is something to consider when searching for rentals. You might be able to negotiate with the owner as well. With mechanical issues, again, if you have any, the peer-to-peer network will handle by arranging service. You may want to inquire for details. Let me know if you have any additional questions. Cheers, Mike

Where's the link to get the RVezy discount? Lol! #elcheapo I've rented two years in a row from RVshare for two week cross-country trips, and it costs a bloomin' fortune! I'd love to both try a different company and get a discount at the same time! And kudos to YOU for doing this! Getting folks out of the house safely!!!! Awesome job! Love your show!
