Watching you pack up and set up is a painful reminder of how much work was involved when I had my Class A. I sold it and bought a Winnebago Revel 4X4 diesel van and I'm living a completely different life now. No Tow vehicle. No Campgrounds most of the time. Street camping, Backwoods forest camping, etc. It has been freeing in so many ways.
@IreneIronTravelsАй бұрын
We feel you. I often think about our travels in the van and how easy and spontaneous it was. Freeing is a great word. But... after 2.5 years of doing it full-time with the 2 of us we needed more space. Would be perfect if we had a house....

Thankyou for the video of my home province, I was born in Yarmouth, live in Centreville just outside Kentville towards Halls Harbour and work all over Canada from British Columbia to NFLD, we stop at the restaurants in Annapolis often and we camp seasonally at Belle Baie in Church Point, my wife worked at Grande Pre outside Wolfville, a lot of history there before the 1755 Deportation and after as well😎

I have an S&B 68 gallon fuel tank that I added to our Ford Super Duty. I love it. Easily one of the best additions I have made to the truck to help with towing. You would probably be surprised how many additional gallons of fuel it would add to your truck. Also, you don't have to get rid of your spare tire or anything else.

I have had the TPMS act weird on me as well. Always when there is major differences or sudden changes in temp between the pavement and the tire. Useful tool, but unless I hear a big bang or feel the death shudder from the trailer, I just watch it for a while to see what it does! Trend analysis! Also, when the batteries on one of my TPMS units goes, I change all 4 so I don't have to deal with the extended PITA of them slowly dying one by one. ;-) Today's episode looks like you had a blast!

Yes…. Hard to trust them fully! Glad to hear we’re not the only ones!! Good tip on replacing all the batteries at once!!

Glad you are loving your taste of Canada! We live on Vancouver Island and have travelled coast-to-coast-to-coast. We spent 3 months going west to east and back. Nova Scotia is beautiful but so is the rest of the country. We just returned from Tuktoyuktuk!
@dalemarshall9736Ай бұрын
Only been stuck a couple of times and one was on a grass site like yours in northern Nova Scotia provincial park. They put us on a grass site after a couple days of rain and sunk in with our 5th wheel. Luckily the gate attendants husband was there with his 4wd suburban and we were able to find a tow chain and he pulled us out and they assigned us a gravel site for the night.
@IreneIronTravelsАй бұрын
Oh man...no fun! I was worried about getting stuck here too! But, it luckily dried out before we left!
@lew305728 күн бұрын
New Brunswick and nova Scotia are fairly hilly provinces and so your gas mileage will not be great, especially pulling a big 5th wheel trailer. My trailer is about 6000 lbs and my Silverado with a 5.3 V8 uses about 22L/100Km. Word of advice, use Hwy 407 when travelling past Toronto - much better highway and a lot less traffic than Hwy 401. The 407 is a toll road but uses cameras to capture your entry and exit and if you have an out of Ontario license plate they do not bill you. Nova Scotia has great parks and considering when you were here I hope you had a great visit.
@IreneIronTravels26 күн бұрын
Thanks for the tip about Hwy 407, we will keep that in mind for our next trip through Canada.

In the begin you were talking about running only on the top half of your fuel tank. My personnal experience is to stay above a quarter tank, so any contamination stays in the tank.

It may be possible to adjust the sensitivity of both the temperature and the pressure of your TPMS. Rain quickly affects the temperature of the road surface and tires, which in turn affects the pressure within your tires. Reducing the monitors sensitivity (allowing more range in acceptable temperature and pressure) may reduce the number of false alarms. A TPMS is always a good idea. Looking forward to your video from Newfoundland.
