I live on the eastern border of GNP on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. Going to the Sun Road aka Logan Pass is the most beautiful, spiritual and powerful place I have ever been. When I had my son I knew I wanted him to have those qualities so we named him Logan. When he was a little boy we would take him there often and he thought he owned that mountain and that everyone was there to see his land. lol

Glacier is certainly one of our most favorite national parks, but it's a logistical nightmare on several fronts. By the time the snow is gone, smoke is a real threat, and it can be one of the most crowded parks. There aren't many roads and even fewer parking spaces, but it's a spectacular place, and you've done a great job with your 2017 video and this one showcasing it! And my wife is team snake all the way! 😉

Really enjoying this trip with you. My husband and I were able to full time for five years starting in 2017. These are some of our favorite spots. We were already in our 70’s when we started so had to keep our hikes to about a mile. One of our many memories was a helicopter coming across Rt 200 in Montana to get water from the river for a wildfire burning in the area. Wish I could send you the picture.

We live in southern Alberta about an hour away from St. Mary. One of our favorite things to do was pack a lunch and head to Going To The Sun on Sunday after church. Back in the day we didn't need permits, passports or travel insurance to do this. We went every year and took photos of our kids next to us at our favorite picnic spot. We would go as far as Apgar where we would have a cold drink or ice cream and then head it home. So sad that this experience is no longer available for spur of the moment trips. Our world just has become too over used and over populated. We haven't made the trip in over 20 years now. Glad you were able to enjoy it!

Loved the video 📹 my brother and I were they last fall in September. We tent ⛺️ camped at Lake Mary on the east side for 3 nights 🌙 then hit Logan Pass on our way to Lake Mc Donald . At Logan Pass we saw big horn sheep but no mountain goats. We did the same thing did a couple miles of the highline trail 👣 then headed back to Logan Pass. So we passed this guy on a bike and we turned out of the Logan Pass lot, people were scrambling to get our space. So this guy was on a bright red bike. We drive 🚗 all the way to the lodge at McDonald Lake walk inside fir a few mins and that guy on the red bike pulled up and sat next to us on the wall. We couldn't believe he was only 15mins behind us. Such an incredible road. Loved 😍 a ❄️ snowball fight.

I’ve lived in the Flathead Valley my whole life, we have a lot of history here. Our family owns the land in Apgar that Glacier Outfitters leases. My great aunt and uncle used to own the old schoolhouse across the street, as well as a lot of Hungry Horse. I only go to the park maybe once a year to Apgar or north fork. I have explored the park some when I was younger. But it is so busy and the parking situation is terrible. The permits make it harder for locals to go on a whim. Our family gets in free, but we don’t have any parking on the land. I think riding a dirt bike or scooter up would be easier. And my life has been mostly working so not a lot of free time. Hopefully sooner than later I’ll get to do more hiking in Glacier. I remember doing the highline trail in maybe 3rd grade or something. It was scary but fun, and obviously beautiful views
