Hi Duane. I also prime the supply hose and purge most of the air, then connect it to the coach. Prevents all that air from going through the house filter. Thanks for the great info. Jim and Rhonda.

Hi Ira. You are so right. Experience isn't a nice teacher but it sure gets the point across.

Good info Duane. Spending a little extra money on equipment that conveys drinking water to your family, and protects your piping is a great investment!

So true. Keeping your water pure and safe should be a high priority.

Newbie here. Found your tips very helpful. Already switched from 1/2" to 5/8" in attempt to improve water flow pressure at faucets. We'll see.

Hi Duane. again another very informative video. I have a question though if you would be kind enough to help me with. As I had mentioned at another video that we are picking up our new RV next week and as newbies I would like to know the sequence of the connection for the water line. I have the blue water hose, the pressure regulator, and the Camco water filter. From the spigot I imagine that I would put on the regulator first, the water filter next then the hose from there to the RV. We also do have the 90 degree elbow. Thank you sir.

Good question Charlie. Yes, the sequence you mentioned is exactly how I set up my water system at a campground. In fact, I leave the water filter attached to the pressure regulator and that makes an easy install/remove process. And I replace the blue filter every three months. That arrangement has worked very well for us so far.

@@RVInspectionAndCare That's a good idea to leave that on. Thank you so much Duane for that. I'll let you know how it goes on our first adventure after we pick it up next week. Thank you sir.

What are you thought on a heated water hose for those cold nights .... Houston tx
@RVInspectionAndCare4 жыл бұрын
It's not a bad idea at all Kurt, especially if you are going to have long stretches of very cold weather. If it's only a few days or so, I have just disconnected the hose at the faucet and used my fresh water tanks. But that only works temporarily.

Why wouldn't you want the blue filter before the water pressure regulator
@RVInspectionAndCare2 жыл бұрын
There's no hard and fast rule about it, but in general I like to know that the water pressure is safe before it goes through any of the components of my RV water system. If you want to do it differently, it's up to you though.
