I’ve got zero problem with people coming in if we know who they are and they have skills to bring and money to support themselves. Most EU countries demand that of other EU citizens if they seek residency. But there are borders for a reason. And they bend over backwards for immigrants and give them all their time and resources. This isn’t the way to go about this problem. The government need to help our own citizens first. Hopefully that old man and woman and their friends have a spare bedroom. They can put a migrant up for life. Surely they will have a good pension that will be able to help look after the migrants. Because the country has not got any money. We are borrowing non stop to keep the country running. The EU along with France have taken a fortune from us to allegedly help. We need 250000 homes built every year for the next 25 years to catch up with the population. And in 25 years time we will need 500000 a year for eternity to keep migrants and the British population. Rwanda is not a solution, the only solution is that they go home. But there has to be a reason they go home. We can't keep 750000 new people every year. Considering the government is borrowing constantly to look after who is already here. I bet none of those people would house any migrants.

It took me over 5 years and over 20k to get my foriegn wife here several years ago. We had to prove our relationship with me visiting her and her coming here for a six month holiday visa first and return back to her country. For next visa She had to pass an english test before she came, do a medical. I had to prove i was earning over a certain amount over a 2 year period, somewhere to live. Then had to pay NHS fees for first 5 years for my wife, she could not claim benefits. Then she had to do another english test and life in UK test before eligble for permanent residency. I should have bought her a dinghy, its absolute disgrace.

What is wrong with processing asylum claims quickly and efficiently? Those in need get the support they need and those with criminal records, no valid claim etc are vetted out and removed. That would mean hundreds of thousands are not in a backlog and their lawyers would have no excuse to appeal on the grounds of their claim not being processed. They can then rightfully be removed without further legal challenge. What part of your brain finds that difficult?

I have used the same train every week for years and just in the last few weeks I've noticed hundreds of people of African descent using them here in Northern Ireland, I'm unsure if they are here to run from the bill but it can't be a coincidence. I don't have much sympathy for those who entered illegally, almost all of which are men. I don't see how one can be picky on the country they settle in if they are truly fleeing from war and oppression.

UK provide rwanda with a lump sum payment per person. Only working age individuals can be deported (ie no families or kids). Rwanda are drumming up business with other european countries with little success
