The green sword was created by Penny via her Maiden powers. Once she became human, she lost access to her robotic swords, so she made new ones to fight Cinder. It all happened really fast. Also, I'm glad the show didn't go the way I feared. Seeing the green puppet, I got worried we were about to see Penny's corpse for a second there.

Ruby’s eulogy to Penny was a very sweet one. It makes me hope even more that she finds the sword again in the future and keeps it as a momento. Gone, but not forgotten. And, it’ll be something to help her keep the hope she has now lost. Damarin is perfect for this show with his knowledge of the fairy tale/folklore allusions, symbolisms and themes. Can't wait for the following Chapters, those are the best!

The comic relief from Weiss I think is as good as it is because she’s so upset and doing these things due to the emotional crisis she’s internally having. I really hope they touch on this more as they did with the home comment here. Like imagine if Ruby mentions angrily it while she’s upset and Weiss blows up a little telling Ruby it’s how she’s trying to cope while not losing it all, like how she always saw Ruby do.

Part of the reason they're in the Ever After was that the girls asked Ambrosius to create the bridge space, they asked him to make it in a space "like the Vaults." We don't know who made those spaces, or where exactly they were located, but given that the bridge was explicitly made somewhere that wasn't Remnant, that has something to do with them being in this not-Remnant place.

Here's your official music news for V9.. Jeff Williams retired and Casey Lee Williams has taken over the OST music along with her bandmate Martin Gonzalez from OK Goodnight. (and they are killing it).. The music score is still done by a small team that took over from the main writer Alex Abraham that also retired from the show after volume 8.

Casey Lee Williams is stepping up for Volume 9's soundtrack. Her father Jeff wanted to move onto other projects so she's now involved in the writing of the songs more, it seems. Her band OK Goodnight had a song in Volume 8 (played when Cinder fought Rhodes). And Atlas (the new capital city) fell on Mantle (the old capital city) and both cities are in Solidas.

Speaking of the Wizard of Oz I think it’s interesting that •Weiss (Tin Man) try’s to logic her way out the Ever After •Blake (Cowardly Lion) try’s her best to not cause a Scene •Yang (Scarecrow) wants to brute force her way out •Ruby(Dorothy) focused on getting back home decides to follow the path set for them, (The Yellow Brick Road)

"The Girl Who Fell Through The World" is a book referenced a few times throughout the series. Though this is the first time they actually explain the contents of the story as the only thing we knew about it beforehand was that it was an allusion to Alice in Wonderland.

In the next few weeks, I would highly recommend you guys take the time to rewatch episodes 2x9 and 2x10. Or at least the second half of 2x9 and the first half of 2x10. I say this mostly cuz you guys have a habit of forgetting a lot of things in this show, plus its been soooooo long since you started this show lol. Having those scenes in mind might make certain things to come have much more payoff by the end.

Weiss aka Ice Queen tries applying cold logic to their situation but winds up more confused. Ruby recognizes that Blake is onto something, that this world operates by storytelling logic. And a Eulogy is very powerful storytelling indeed.

I'm definitely enjoying this volume in terms of setting and Ruby's arc. The others...idk, it feels like they have nothing to do, and that's so much more apparent in Episode 4. No spoilers, but it definitely keeps flipping for me if I like a certain scene or not Also, since it will come up later, the sword was made out of Penny's Maiden Magic. She made multiple and they, along with Penny's body, fell into the Ever After like everyone else when the paths disappeared

I enjoy it personally cuz ruby just hasn't had the same focus on her character and her struggles that the other 3 have had in previous volumes. They've had their arcs, they dealt with their struggles and traumas in ways that ruby has avoided and bottled up before. Notcthat there's no room for the others to grow anymore, but mentally they seem to be in a much better place than ruby is atm

unfortunately crunchyroll isn't doing english subtitles for some reason, I guess they don't really add them for english shows, even though RT said there would be subtitles. it's pretty frustrating and im holding out hope they'll add them sooner rather than later.

I believe so. If you go back to episode 1 they say if the episode isn't blowing up with a lot of views then they'll just wait until one of their friends to come back to react with them. If it did blow up with lots of views then they would have continued on without their friend.
