After this episode. My opinion on Hazel is that he seems to be the person who wants to get these results with as little violence as possible. But is still willing to do whatever it takes to get it. Compared to the others in salems group. He seems more likely to be the most level headed and sane of them. Or from what we've seen so far. Not to mention. What is his past with Ozpin. We're they working together and then had a disagreement about something.

Villains with a conscience are my absolute favorite type of villain, and Hazel pulls that off so beautifully. We haven't seen very much of him, to be sure, but what whe HAVE seen of him is giving us enough about his character for me to really enjoy who he is. Adam, on the other hand, is climbing higher and higher on my shit list because of how soulless and deranged he is. He seems the most grimm-like of anyone besides Salem.

I don't know if you guys know about this theory, but I thought it was cool so I copied and pasted it here from the comments section on the episode from RoosterTeeth channel and someone said ,"Sienna Khan is based on Shere Khan. In the original Jungle Book story, he is killed when Mowgli had a stampede of bulls run him over. Kind of a parallel to how Adam(a bull) killed her." And from someone else, "The version I remember of that story was that Shere Khan was killed after Mowgli attached the burning limb of a tree to his tail. The animals called fire "man's red flower", so the parallel still exists because the design on the back of Adam's shirt features a red flower."

I'd say 'almost' zero hope is right, because it's not like he was a monster from the start. Obviously, he must have been redeemable in the past as Blake clearly saw enough in him to have him as a mentor, a partner and a lover (?). I'm adamant that there was some sort of trigger event (the classic ''someone I loved was murdered by a human" or something) to send Adam over the deep end because, as Blake said in Volume 3, he "changed." Don't get me wrong, I don't think Adam will turn good, nor do I think he will even be redeemed at all, but I think it's fair to say that he will become more understandable as to why he is like this now. People don't just turn into psychopaths for nothing.

He's a very special, interesting character in my opinion. (Spoilers for nearly the end of the volume.) I think his reason for being with *"the bad guys"* is what Ozpin explaines in chapter 13; "A wound that cannot be healed." And if we take in account his "calm and polite" demeanor, we can assume that - probably - his grudge towards Ozpin is the only thing that ties him to *them.* Being that if, somehow, he managed to understand and overpass it, he is a potentially strong ally. I'll look forward to his development. Well, since he's in rage mode it's a very risky situation, but let's hope he snaps out of it.

Shaun Higgins Salem doesn’t need to pull Yang and Blake’s strings to get them to kill Adam. Yang wants retribution for her arm and her arc wouldn’t be finished without it. Same for Blake. In fact, it would be horrible if Salem were behind it because that arc conclusion wouldn’t have any weight.

I must be the only person who never cared for Sienna or isn't upset she died. It's becoming a problem where rwby fans hype something up into something that wasn't meant to have a bigger role. Then they get mad when it doesn't go their way. Also not to antagonize anyone but why do people insist that Adam or even Cinder should get a redemption arc? Ker Dunne I'm glad RT wrote Sienna this way its not like every character we get is supposed to have an in depth back story We were given information about her at least a volume before she appeared in the show and her dialogue only added to what she was meant to be seen as a leader pledging to get equality by acts of violence but not too extreme in the manner that Adam would I think she served her purpose in the show and it gives more screentime to characters we have already established a connection with as viewers

I wouldn't be too surprised if Sienna is still alive. Sure, she could be dead. But judging by Hazel's reaction, I see also a possibility that he (Edit: or some loyalists) somehow saves her life. With this brutal takeover, Adam showed to be massively unpredictable and I can't imagine that Hazel - not to say Salem - would want to rely on such an unknown factor in their plans that could shoot sideways on a whim. Sienna could still be the accomplice the villains want when Hazel saves her, gaining her gratitude that way and in turn giving her the chance to take the White Fang back from Adam by uncovering his schemes to all the Faunus who at least for now will believe that a human killed her. Of course, this is all hypothetically speaking since I would like it much better if this wasn't the last we saw of Sienna.

I was singing along with you during the airship battle. it was quite interesting. we were in sync. about the Hazel thing, I think that he will convince Salem to find someone to replace Adam because the way he is becoming, but there are not many options, so they will be stuck until they do. but with what Blake is doing, that little line may not go anywhere because she will convince everyone in Menagerie that the White Fang has gone completely rogue when they find out that Sienna got killed and replaced by Adam. also, i wrote this comment during the last few minutes of the video, so somethings may not exactly make sense. (note, I'm writing this late at night and didn't have much sleep last night)

I agree, in all honesty, he seems like a greater threat at the moment. Yes, Salem has her Counsil of Evil and Mysteriousness but Adam has the results, plans and gives no *&^% about anyone. His hate towards humans practically changed into hunger for power with "changing the worlds for Faunus for better" as his justification for all he has done. If we get backstory (a good one may I add) for him then I can easly call him good or even great character. Now I have to just pray that RT won't screw this up... In other words: I have high hopes for him. But it stings that Sienna died so soon... then again, I think that her role would not be very... rewarding for the audience. Even when they might think otherwise.

The fact that the White Fang agree with his methods means that Adam is in way better touch with the White Fang members than Sienna was; as such, he could brag about his popularity and back it up right there and then, and he did. His assertion that Faunus > humans isn't wrong either--Faunus are "humans plus" (with "more" being the animal traits and night vision, go figure; similar to Magneto's point about mutants). Such mentality and rhetoric is what wins support from the White Fang's Faunus, and from various branches of it too. Also, even if he did think there was truth to Sienna's point about not being able to win the war, Adam would still find benefit on the battlefield, because as reflected by his Semblance, the guy invites and welcomes conflict. Enemies come to him, he retaliates much harder and shows he's boss. The battlefield fuels him, hones him, and now elevates him.

Wolf Fang Yeah, I totally forgot about biological things about Faunus, one of them being that when Faunus and Human have a child it's usually a Faunus which actually really makes them the dominant species. Lin2Waterfall I feel like adam had some merit behind what he did to Blake, she left him with nothing more than a goodbye. And I don't think he's as obsessed with her as people make him out to be. If he was, he most definitely could have found her prior to the invasion on beacon. And yang, well, she was asking for it. It would be stupid to think adam would just stand there and let yang win, because in my eyes he brings the show back down to earth. As in, the main characters aren't invincible and not everything has a happy ending. I think that's why they had him kill Sienna. To show that anyone can die now.

Did you see the scars on Hazel's elbows? I'm wondering if Watts gave him super robo arms or something, especially given how he punched that ticket booth. People think Adam killing Sienna was a waste. But u know me, i look deep. You see Sienna was a plot device yes, but it brings something else to the table. Sienna was the last good of the white fang, she was a very big factor. Her death changed everything. From a movement into a radical and fashious party. Sienna was basically in malcom x's position, fighting for results but never truly resorted to killing off innocent people Ghira was Martin Sienna was X Adam is now something of Hitler and Stalin. This type now killing off innocence due to their own rage. Siennas death was the last decent bone in the white fang and adam broke it, making the white fang now a radicalist army I may be looking too deep into it. Might be the sunny d talking Ps. The symbolism of her death is there Adam is commonly associated with fire And Sienna Khan is based on the tiger from the jungle book. The fire is what killed the tiger

I don't think that is really necessary. I remember a while ago, maybe episode 7 of volume 4, when Papa Schnee slapped Weiss and took away her position as Heiress, and someone actually had the nerve to call him a bad character, because he was just a bad man with no redeeming qualities to him, to which I pointed out that maybe that was the point. Writing a bad character is not the same as writing an irredeemable character. I kinda feel the same way here. Perhaps in the volumes leading up to this there was something, but with this episode, the other shoe has officially dropped. Adam was more than likely never meant for redemption, which is fine. In fact, it will probably end up making his defeat that much more satisfying.

Nolan Devenyns well yeah. You SHOULDN'T care about her much. Shes a fodder character. Shes only there to lead the white fang after blakes dad steps down but before adam takes the position. She isnt ment to develop or contribute to the plot that much. People are simply butthurt becasue they like the design and her goals which is understandable.

Nobody should care that she died, you should care about Adam having killed the leader in a sudden coup. That's the importance of the death. If you really badly wanted to know about Khan then, unlucky for you. You probably picked the wrong peripheral character to think there'd be more content of. Your slip-up, not theirs. That scene made Adam ten times greater than he already was. Loved it.

What would've happened if Cinder got killed by someone on the airship shortly after they escaped? Khan is a fucking leader. There had to be a reason for her taking the seat of Blake's dad left. You have some okay logic, but it was you slip up not thinking a little more, instead of thinking Everything Rooster teeth does is God's work.

I'm glad you enjoyed the episode, I love how you can sometimes predict what will happen. "That Dust is gonna go flying out the plane!" And it does. Even worse, it was Jacques' Dust being smuggled out of Atlas (check out the SDC logo on the lid), more lost lien coming his way. "Oh gosh, it's the Queen of all Lancers!" Said monster is confirmed by Weiss as a Queen Lancer. But yes, I agree that Adam has completely lost his way, he's definitely taking Cinder's "You're either with me or you're dead" approach, seems to me she's brought out the worst in him. Not good. At best, I can see him getting a Vader-style redemption, dying to save Blake, who's the only one that mourns him. And poor Weiss, she escapes her "patriarchal prison" to wind up in another. Though hopefully not for long. Again, glad you enjoyed the episode, hope you enjoy the next one will be just as much. :)

The interesting thing is I play him exactly how he acts in this episode - for example, our Salem asked him what he'd do if he encountered a human child, I answered with something to the effect of "I'd only kill them if necessary".
