I fitted an NPC 1300Nm clutch & billet flywheel when a new stock Toyota clutch & flywheel started slipping under acceleration after fitting a Torqit exhaust. It has noise in first just idling along & changes volume on acceleration & deceleration. Apparently this is normal for NPC clutches but wasn't present on the stock one. They both run the same genuine thrust bearing so it might be on the input shaft, I got used to it. Check all the bolts & work when you get it back from Toyota, The Toyota tech's I've had first hand experience are pretty rough & miss a bolt here & there. P.S That's a bit piss weak on Toyota's side about the G.V.M warranty refusal seeing as it's an A.D.R approved mod.

Thanks for that i definitely have a good look after Toyota techs touch it. The dealer was the one who actually picked it up and they were proactive to put through the warranty claim on my behalf. They seem to think it's the thrust bearing too! Not sure how they could fail at 9000kms.

I have a 21 79 single cab with a pre rego GVM upgrade. What is the rationale behind a GVM upgrade voiding a potential gearbox/clutch warranty claim?

@@iS088 I am not sure. It does not make sense to me, but perhaps since the pre-rego PVM puts it under SSM they could be trying to use that as a scapegoat haha

Thanks mate quite pleased with it! The cupholder is the Dorito Concepts cupholder. Yes they will should fit the 711 slurpees (not sure about the jumbo) and yes any standard size tapered cup will fit. I've had a large maccas frozen coke in there!

Hey mate any concerns about the battery relocation when it comes to being a defect? I know it's the least of your defectable mods lol. Have you had the bridgport tuned to pass epa or did you bring it up with your tuner that in the event you get defected it is possible to pass EPA? ETC

Hey mate A few questions there i'll try to answer! I can also offer some insight having gone through that process before with EPA/pit inspection (i'm in Australia) No battery relocation will pass through the pits - especially when relocated where the spare wheel used to be. In regards to EPA noise emissions - it is not as hard as people think with these cars. There are a few gasses they detect during the process. The key is a good 400 CEL catalytic converter and E85. I believe i can pass emissions as is with some tuning and modifications to the exhaust/fuel system.

How were you able to get your engine information on your radio?

Hey mate The radio is an android unit and you can download OBD2 apps to read OBD2 parameters only (i use TorqueApp). ECU is an Elite 1500 and can output OBD2 data onto a bluetooth dongle which automatically hooks up to the android headunit. I simply start the app and it will connect itself. The only meaningful sensors i read are coolant temp, MAP pressure, fuel pressure and IAT. OBD2 parameters do not include other outputs like AFR, oil pressure etc. Hope that's helpful!
