Some people just think whats so great about a 4 squared up walls and a roof, but for us car guys it means the world to be able to work inside in the shade, with a nice roof protected from the elements. I started building my cars since very young in the House garage and my parents didn’t like it because of the oils, coolant, gas smell etc so I did stuff outside and whoever has done it that was appreciates a shop no matter what the size style. Ive been planning it for years and my shop design started at 30x40 and now Im building a 50x100 20’ tall. So I can service bigger vehicles as well such as dump trucks, backhoes, scissor lifts but it’s design to have room to storage 10vehicles without moving anythin to back em out and park plus a nice Challenger 10k lift. Wish I could post a picture here to show you guys the progress so far(walls are up, today Im starting the base for the concrete slab, and next week with the roof)

I’m a nitrous guy at heart so I love to se this happening! Just know…you’ll spend more money on spark plugs than fuel! Fresh set of plugs every track day is a must! Maybe even a couple sets a day at the track depending on how much you’re spraying!

I’ve always wanted to do a rowdy nitrous combo but never had the balls to deal with the work. But the idea of building it super simple and serviceable negates that. Also to clarify I saw some comments mentioning it won’t be fast with a 5.3. It’s not going to be a 5.3. Shooting for a 600hp NA combo with probably 400 on top for all on. So around 1000whp and the car should be around 2000lbs with me if we do it right. That would be like my Silverado having 2300whp 😂

@@Taylordrifts shoot even 5.3 on spray make good power. I’ve got right at that same power level. Make 600 on motor and spray up to 400 on a plate kit. But it’s also a 434 small block Chevy and not ls. I’ve seen guys and know guys that spray 250 on a basically stock 5.3 and run 9s in the 1/4. The LS actually loves nitrous! Being that light it’s gonna be a rocket! Better strap that front end down tight!

The mid plate needs to be completely cut out to allow the flex plate to come through, otherwise you'd have to take it off the mid plate with the motor or take the flexplate off. Also need extended dowls for the transmission.

That car looks to be setup for a Liberty extreme 5 speed clutchless and a rotary 13B. That's why the 3 pedals. With little modification this project will be awesome. Congratulations Taylor

this car more than likely didnt have a t56 in it. rotary drag cars are typically built with something like a geforce gf2000 or a liberty 5 speed. these are both pro-stock style clutchless shifting transmissions. the saddle mounts on the frame are common for this style of transmission, the transmission would have a pair of tubes on it and the trans is set in on the saddles and you just slide it forward into place, and then a pair of t-bolt clamps is what holds it to the chassis.

Love all the shop upgrades.I’m excited about the RX7 build. Just know that 4 wheel drive drag vehicles are a handful to drive.If you’ve ever driven a turbocharged front drive GHL Dodge or a Turbocharged Honda then you’re well aware of what torque steer is .Your RX7 will have significantly more power and torque and be moving very very quickly.

@@f30jaee seriously his firebird is very simple especially when he was running the LS block, he was pretty much going just as fast as his big block 540 he had in it. But for what it is he friggin gaps a lot of cars that theoretically have a whole lot more power. But that's the cool thing with NP is your racing the surface more then your opponent and if you can get that dialed your going to win a lot.

E36/46 is a super easy rack to mount! No bushings and a decent enough ratio. Condor makes a PS Delete to recirc it to seal it off too!

Most of the time in rotary builds we use a clutchless transmission that does not need the clutch to be pressed to go into each gear all you need the clutch for is basically just for staging 😂 The transmission most of the time is a liberty or g force 5 or 6 speed equalizer shifter
