I’m 70 years old and John Prine and I grew old together…he the artist and me the fan. With his recent passing a void was left in my heart. At my age I had lamented there would be no one out there to fill that void. Listen, there will never be another John Prine but when I discovered Ryan Bingham just recently I feel the void in my heart is being filled. What an amazing talent! I have downloaded Ryan’s entire catalog and have been “binge listening” ever since. What an amazing talent…raw, pure and unique.

Totally agree. Was listening to Prine before I was drafted in '72. Spent years listening and understanding the legend he was. Now we have a new singer/songwriter to enjoy and fill the void. Ryan is amazing and we should enjoy this to the fullest. I will, every day. My son, age 38, and my grandson, age 17, both have discovered him on their own - something we 3 can experience and enjoy as we grown older together.

I'm surprised so few Americans here in the comments knew Ryan. Back in 2010 his "Weary Kind" earned him an Academy Award (Oscar), a Golden Globe Award and a Critic's Choice Award for "Best Song". In the same year the Americana Music Association honoured him with the top award "Artist of the Year". In 2011 "Weary Kind" got him a Grammy. His voice is painfully beautiful. If there's someone who carries his wounded soul in his voice it's him. He knows tragedy and hard life very well (his mother drank herself to death and his father died by suicide. "Never Far Behind" from his Tomorrowland album is about his parents.) It's rare these days to hear such genuine artists.

Not to get all music critic-ey but the dude is more "Americana"...ie folk without the politics and a bit more drawl and twang. Ryan, I’m sorry to say that my introduction to you came from Yellowstone but I’m so glad I found you. I wish you the best on the show but, more importantly, in your art as a musician. You have so much give us from both genres and I look forward to supporting your career as it continues-undoubtedly in continued success. God bless you, brother. You deserve it.

There's no shame in discovering an artist you like through a TV show. I found a lot of my favorite bands through video game and TV soundtracks. We're just glad you're here

We played this at my best friends 21/quinci/bar/, on an operational vizio, And everybody chanted along with Ryan. Truly an expleary display of survival of the fittest. Hungry for more.

After watching Yellowstone and listening to some of the great tunes they snuck in there, I literally went through my "country" playlist and started purging stuff and doing a makeover. "Country" is being redefined right before our eyes by artists like this. Funny, I did the same thing to my rock music collection when Nirvana and Soundgarden hit the airwaves way back in the day, LOL.

Ryan!!! Man, what a sound!! And I'm speaking of my dad singing your 'anything'. Man! You two sound so, so,... SO much alike. I wish you could hear him. We, (the whole farm house) all hear you... daily. Getting hard to tell you and my dad apart

Up front I'll tell ya that I've never watched "Yellowstone" so I didn't really know who Ryan Bingham was. He was the cover story in Cowboys and Indians magazine so I wanted to check him out and see what the deal was with him. I'm a classic country fan and have been pretty much all my life, so here I am. I like the gritty voice and the songs that I'm hearing from this songwriter/singer. Looks like I'm gonna be a Ryan Bingham fan......
