I don't think all skate companies are just evil and aren't looking out for their skaters but let's be honest some of them just don't consider this aspect of skating at all. They just consider the amount the owners and the shareholders make. The system we live in the US incentives such unethical choices by people running companies, all in the name of making as much money in the process as possible. The ends justify the means. I'm not concerned with companies making a lot of money, I'm just saying this is how people are told to make money. It's the tried and true way. While I think seeking healthcare should never put someone in debt, skaters not paying their medical bills and going into debt while the companies make a fortune turning a blind eye will never be okay imo.
