I think this is the new style of magic for the internet age. In history magicians would just perform magic leaving audiences baffled, but today with everyone having the internet at your fingertips to find out how a trick is done this style of magic is so much more impressive because even if people know how it is done it is done so clean that you still can't recognize the moves so you just enjoy the show in the end.

This is one of those tricks that, even knowing mostly how it's done, is stil amazing to watch when done as well as this.

Thats exactly why Penn and Teller loved him, cause it is so well executed that even knowing the trick....you can say who cares how its done....I'm just going to be amazed at how he does it

I truly love how much happy he is when he is with Penn and Teller, it really shows you how much a simple act in a person's life can change everything for that person, making it follow their dreams and making them true. That happy face, ladies ans gentlemen, is the face of a dream come true

You are obviously right when you say that other magicians will imitate you, and the vast majority of them will not have a tenth of your talent. But other, more talented, or maybe simply more ambitious and persevering, won't be imitating you, but will pay homage to you, by really appropriating certain parts of your work, and making them their own, like you made your own the original coin matrix moves. Now I have seen your Fool Us video so many times that I can follow you, but this must be, by a country mile, the best coin matrix I have ever witnessed. And if you understand the methods and can appreciate all the work behind such perfection, it is one of these routines where knowing the trick makes you appreciate it even more.
@etienneschramm83

That's my point ! Being able to see the moves and understand what Ryan is doing (not the first time, probably not the tenth time either...) is not too hard, if you know the basic principles of a coin matrix, but I am MILES away from being able to do it half as cleanly. And even then, it would be nothing but a cheap copy. Many people who know how to paint would be able to copy a Picasso quite precisely, but that does not make them great artists... That's why I said that such a performance is here to inspire, not to be blindly followed.

Penn and Teller were also my heros when I was a boy. I was obsessed with them, and performing magic. But nowadays I have taken my understanding and passion for the sort of logic and precision that goes into magic performance, and opening new pathways in the realm of music. It is also a dream of mine to meet them one day, and demonstrate what I have been working on, the "magic in music"..... not a "magic trick", but I think they would appreciate! You are a real inspiration as well, so great to see people pushing this fine art forward into the future. There was a period of 20 years or so, I feel, where I never saw anything new. So happy to see all the fine work people are doing on Fool Us now.

Thank you so much for the introductory monologue - you should be so proud that you have actually emulated your heroes P&T - even more deeply I would say - I hope you get to shake that mans hand. Also, the P&T Sleight of Hand explanation is the most wonderful pieces of magic - the only piece of magic that has made me cry just due to it's perfection is Teller's "Miser's Dream" closely followed by Teller's Shadows. I'm now concentrating on coin magic more than I have done in the past so: 大変ありがとうございました。

Don't worry sub-par Asian Chan. Like the great pokemon, you will need to evolve through your intermediate forms first. You must change from a Chan to a Onii-Chan. Once you have realized your new powers, then it's onto the next form. What was once Onii-Chan, then becomes Oni-Chan! Note the spelling, it is not a typo nor a mistake! Your immense new abilities will become second nature leaving you only the next step! BECOME THE JACKIE CHAN!. Using new modern techniques, you will only evolve further and surpass your limits!

Hey Ryan, Stoked for you Man!! It’s so awesome to have watched someone’s life change so fast like yours did after Fool Us. It’s also really cool that you got to meet your hero’s! I grew up them too and remember when they blew everyone out of the water. I remember how mad all the other magicians were when they started exposing all the tricks of the trade but I think it actually pushed everyone to create new and better illusions. They made magic popular again. You know what would be a really cool way to pay homage to Penn And Teller. Do the matrix with clear cards. Everyone knows how you’re doing the trick but it’s still entertaining because you’re so damn good at it. Actually, you could double your stage time by doing it twice. Once with the real cards and once with the clear cards. Just a thought anyway. Congratulations on your success man, you deserve it!!

The cameraman did a really bad job, he basically missed to shoot the most crucial parts, especially in the beginning of the trick. I doubt that some of the audience really had difficulty getting the point of the trick in first minutes. This is a close-up magic trick, you don’t shoot it from 25 yards far.
