If you remove the little power steering resevoir on the driver side and look down there is a alan head plastic screw under neath that resevoir. Its probably half way down .

Does that last part of the egr cooler also have a valve in it? Been considering emissions intact tuning to just keep the system off but haven't been able to find what valves are in that system to know where it will be cut off at.

3....2.....1...... ahhhh no the parts I remove / modify are the ones that trucks go in for warranty’s for. Other than that there’s nothing on the truck that could mess up that won’t be covered by warranty, if my lcd screen goes out that’s covered by the warranty because none of the modifications I’ve done have anything to do with the screen, the modification MUST cause the failure of the warranty part for the dealer to not cover you most get shut down and accept it. Dealer needs the proof and they don’t want to go through the trouble to prove it so they just send you down the road. That’s why you need to work with dealers you trust 👍🏼

I done my truck in about 6 hours. That was an egr dpf and throttle valve delete. I couldn’t believe the difference it made in my truck on just a stock tune. I put efi live on mine

@@ryan2546 are there gaskets on the 2 block off plates. I didn't notice any, I'm fixing to get mine done this weekend and was wondering. I got the gdp kit and it came with rubber seals for the intake horn cover. No gaskets for the block off plates.

An EGR delete is always a good thing no matter what. Do you really want your engine eating its own poop? Engines that breathe their own waste don't live long, don't run right, don't have as much power and get worse fuel economy. Simply put, SCREW THE EPA!!!

Easiest way to get to the coolant drain, remove the grille. On the driver side, remove or move aside the rubber cover/shield. Below the P/S cooler lines, you’ll find the drain. I zip-tie a clear tube to the drain and run it down past the bumper. I find this method to be cleaner compared to coolant dumping all over the frame.

I got a 2017 6.7 and deleted it awhile ago, the plate I have for the egr delete came with two long studs for the bracket. Only one lined up and the sensor won't line up with the bracket at all either. Now it leaks coolant I'm assuming due to vibration because of only one stud being able to be bolted in the exhaust manifold. Is 2017 and odd year for these trucks? Because I've seen multiple kits that show different brackets for 2017. Would be great if you had any insight onto what the issue might be because I am stumped. Thanks for the quality content.

From what I understand, it prevents cycling exhaust fumes back into the cylinder which reduces soot buildup and let's the engine breathe better

Can you make a video on just unplugging the electrical connectors too the egr system. I have a raceme ultra tuner. Apparently it turns off the egr but too make sure it’s properly turned off I have too unplug the egr electrical connectors. I cannot find a tutorial anywhere

You should never use The EGR Blocker plate because I can lead to exhaust leaks and blown manifolds. It’s better to just get a different up pipe that is welded over the EGR’s old intake for the side the EGR is on. Just a friendly word of advice from someone who blew the exhaust manifold on his girlfriends diesel

Have to take grille off to access drain. It’s tucked an hidden on the driver side behind it. It’s a bitch to get too. Expect some French words aimed at the engineers when you find it.

I know you gotta remove the DPF and SCR right away. But I heard you can leave the EGR installed just unplug certain connectors. Thanks

It took me about 6hrs to do mine + installing the tuner. Everyone kept saying the back two cooler bolts were the hardest, but I found the one you had a hard time getting off was the hardest for me too!

Excellent video, thanks for sit. I have a 2011 6.7 3500 (I stupidly traded in a like 2006 5.9 - live and learn!). Ibhave had zero EGR or DPF issues, knock on wood. But i was shocked yesterday when I replaced CCV filter at the oil and carbon swill being dumped back. But i kive in Tucson, AZ and would never pass emissions if I deleted the EGR. Sucks.
