Float the gears and try to keep the rpms low when you shift. And if you are going to double clutch, just push the clutch enough to release and don’t push all the way down. It will hit the clutch brake if you don’t.

If the truck jerks a lot when you let out the clutch when towing heavy then try taking the RPMs not so high. Maybe to around 2,000-2,300 then shift. If you do that it’ll drop them to about 1,500 or so. And it won’t jerk as hard when you let the clutch out.

2nd low then split up and let off the throttle, it'll shift. Then split down keeping on the throttle then off throttle and clutch neutral left out the clutch then clutch gear.

Ryan you have to match the rmps dropping with the shifter to get it to work. Its also a hell of a lot easy to float the gears also

Ok so just to let you know. the weight of just the truck 26,001or more you need a Class B CDL towing a trailer 10,001 pounds or more you need a Class A CDL.. if total weight of truck is under 26,001 pounds and trailer is under 10,001 pounds no CDL required. When using for a business its more about DOT regs. The weight is still the law.

I'll show you how to drive that truck. No clutch needed. Super easy. Double clutching makes it harder to shift. Amd to down shift dont touch the clutch. Left foot brake and bring the rpm up a bit. And it will slide right into gear

No need to use the clutch in that Mack other than starting and stopping. Been driving trucks since I was 19 and I’m 47 now. Eaton/Fuller is super easy to learn.

Got to be around 10,000 rpm + Depending upon what year you’re going to and from and you can shift without the clutch most drivers do not use the clutch except for to stop and start

When you drive a dump truck you have to have your rpm up and also you can’t push in the clutch all the way down because you will hit the clutch break and it won’t work I just got my cdl couple of months ago and it took a lot of grinding and it’s even harder down shifting your gears and rpm and speed have to all match or it won’t work

Look up how to float gears. I have a class A Cdl and drive for a while but floating gears eliminates even using the clutch. Sounds weird but I promise it works and is so much easier than double clutching. My school never even taught us double clutch

I have an 18 speed eaton in my semi. I just did a walk around on my semi. 144" sleeper. I could show you how to drive that truck. You dont have to double clutch.

Let your rom drop 250 when you up shift and raise them 250 when u drop a gear do not clutch it just float the gears u may need to adjust the rpm a little bit 250 is my 13 speed with a c15

Coming from a truck driver if you want to float run her up 15 and shift. You were right when you said double clutching but I've been driving 15years own a small company and I cant double clutch. Im also 3rd generation i was shiftin gears in diapers. In my opinion you'll do damage attempting to double clutch.
