Had a thought when i was running. “how do we know when we progress personally, not from an outside source. Might find some gems in it.

I've said before, Ryan Hughes teaches the Martial Art of Motocross. This is just more evidence of that thought. He dives deep not only into the sport, but in life. They say never meet your heroes, I've had the opportunity to meet and learn from Ryan. He is definitely one hero that everyone needs to meet and learn from.

YES!!! Wise words!!! Literally just 4 days ago I came back to Australia from living in central Tokyo to just give me some "me time" (for 2 weeks), and I love being alone in the Australian "outback".... pure nature and time to think, looking up at a sky full of millions of stars. Plants, dirt, animals... and our deadly Aussie snakes!! I am from UK heritage 150 years ago, but I love to go "walk about" as the Australian aboriginals say. It is so good for the soul. Your mind takes it all in, and you can change so much. You said "you become child like again", which I fully agree with. I see it as "you become more natural again", the way we all should be. Very wise words mate.

Yes my friend, being alone is essential for the inner reflection and up-close relationship we need with ourselves and to declutter our lives, uncouple from burdens, things, and others negativity. I live away from my family for this very reason, while I provide all their needs, a home, cars, money and direction, I choose to live 10 1/2 months of the year away from them to focus on becoming a better version of myself, physically, mentally, emotionally, professionally. What use am I to them if I am fat, lazy, complacent, unmotivated, overly concerned with societies problems? If anything I would be no more than a sightful embarrassment and poor example and role model. My wife and children can see me whenever they choose and are super happy and productive in society. I train hard, fast, study, push my limits and reach for perfection, all in relative obscurity, and love it, pax tecum.

"We are all alone, born alone, die alone, and-in spite of True Romance magazines-we shall all someday look back on our lives and see that, in spite of our company, we were alone the whole way. I do not say lonely-at least, not all the time-but essentially, and finally, alone. This is what makes your self-respect so important, and I don't see how you can respect yourself if you must look in the hearts and minds of others for your happiness.” - HST

Was a big fan back in the day! Always loved your toughness! The tough and mean guys were always my guys, and like you, thats what I became. I`m 53 now and trying everything to relax and soften. But I live in Tallahassee, and the "input" is overwhelming. I dont even want to leave my house anymore! Ive tried everything besides pills! Weed quit working 20 years ago, but I still smoke every day like a chimney. If it werent for my dogs Id be long gone by now. I`ll try your witness Idea. Its kinda what I started doing the other day, trying to put my mothers face on it and realize it comes from her, AND IT`S NOT WHO I WANT TO BE! 😓 Subscribed because of this vid, Thank you so much brother!!!

Maybe gold prospecting could help? Very meditative and you learn about geology and history. Gets you out bush too and works well with motorbike. Too much weed can make it difficult to sleep. Mind doesn’t get into the REM as much. All the best from Australia

Love this Ryan. I spent most of my 20’s traveling in a school bus blacksmith shop/home that I built. I would often spend weeks at a time in National Forrest without any human contact or cell service to produce my wares. It took me a long time to really understand what loneliness was. I believe loneliness is simply the exposure of our weaknesses that are allowed to surface when you don’t have people/society/distractions supporting you. And what a beautiful thing to be able to see your weaknesses so clearly and be able to work on them. Now that I own a home and am married I still require a certain amount of solitude to feel grounded and to help see myself. Such a worthy experience that so few get to experience. Thanks for sharing and inspiring others to explore this underrated, yet essential aspect of life. Our society is extremely deficient of it.

Greta vid. Love the down to earth approach of these vids. Your a good dude. I often say to friends that they need to go out bush alone for at least a month straight. I have done it many times in the Aussie outback, chasing gold nuggets and chillin. Often had a motorbike or quad but also done it without. So nice being in nature. I hope everybody gets the chance to make it happen at some stage in their lives. Cheers from Australia

He had a lot to say He had a lot of nothing to say We'll miss him We'll miss him He had a lot to say He had a lot of nothing to say We'll miss him We'll miss him We're gonna miss him We're gonna miss him So long We wish you well You told us how you weren't afraid to die Well, so long Don't cry Or feel too down Not all martyrs see divinity But at least you tried Standing above the crowd He had a voice that was strong and loud We'll miss him We'll miss him Ranting and pointing his finger At everything but his heart We'll miss him We'll miss him We're gonna miss him We're gonna miss him No way to recall What it was that you had said to me? Like I care at all But it was so loud You sure could yell You took a stand on every little thing And so loud You could be the one who saves me from my own existence Warn while some child might chill, nine-one-two I'm too smart when you're invisible by the bone symbol on you So he bashes his skull through the window while looking out to the sea Like torment of my ego And we're amused by this Yeah, standing above the crowd He had a voice that was strong and loud and I Swallowed his facade 'cause I'm so Eager to identify with Someone above the ground Someone who seemed to feel the same Someone prepared to lead the way And someone who would die for me Will you? Will you now? Would you die for me? Don't you fuckin' lie Don't you step out of line Don't you step out of line Don't you step out of line Don't you fuckin' lie You've claimed all this time that you would die for me Why then are you so surprised when you hear your own eulogy? He had a lot to say He had a lot of nothing to say He had a lot to say He had a lot of nothing to say Come down Get off your fucking cross We need the fucking space to nail the next fool martyr To ascend you must die You must be crucified For our sins and our lies Goodbye

I call it vanity, thats what majority of ppl are after. Take it all away and all you have is your soul. Take it all away and im not much different then you, or a neighbor, or someone you pass on the street etc. Until i gave that desire up i was trapped. I dont give a shit now and i feel truly free...My 10c.
