Another great tutorial, they are amazing! Btw. when removing the, say, Mapping node with delete the connection is lost. Using Cut removes the node + keeps the connection.
@RyanKingArt2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Yes I know that you can press Control X to remove the node but keep the wire plugged up. But there's no point in doing that in this case because I'm going to have to change the connection to the Object coordinates anyways. So either way I'm going to have to plug another wire up to the texture.

after I hold shift key then click on musgrave texture, why can't I press ctrl+0 and get the same result? can someone help? @4:50

It might be because of the updated Mix Node in Blender. So just add the Mix Node, and Set it to Color, and manually plug it up the same way as in the video.

Useful fact: When you want to delete the 'Mapping' node at the beginning, then you can select it and instead of pressing 'X', you can press 'Ctrl + X' and it will delete it with the wires still plugged in, so you don't have to plug the wires in again! :D
@RyanKingArt Жыл бұрын
Yes, that's a great feature! 👍 Although there is no real point for me to do that, because after deleting the mapping node, I have to unplug the Generated, and plug in the object coordinates instead. But yes, its a great shortcut to know. 😀

I have a question, I'm currently using UE5 and I would like to know if the type of material influences performance (for example, metallic textures are smooth but at the same time are more reflective than other materials) Does this influence performance? If so.. is there any way to optimize metallic materials? Should I make it less reflective for real-time renderings? like games for example. 🤔

Hi ryan I want to ask you what do you think about learning blender or modeling in this time is that make sense? Since AI generators start to make everything easily. only typing a few words. I would like to know what do you think maybe you can make a video about it it'll be perfect.
@RyanKingArt2 жыл бұрын
There will always be artists creating artwork, and there will always be humans that need to make specific things. AI image generators will not take artists jobs. I think learning 3d art is a great and valuable skill. : )
