Would you say LiveScope in forward is limited to shallow water? What depths does it perform well?
@RyanMoodyFishing3 жыл бұрын
I haven’t tried it in water over 10m as yet.

@@RyanMoodyFishing any chance you will try it to say 40 to 150 feet ?
@RyanMoodyFishing3 жыл бұрын
@@robintaylor1490 possibly. At some stage we’ll give it go.

@@RyanMoodyFishing I would really appreciate it. Trying to decide if it would be good for my new build 22ft sport fishing boat. Primarily salmon and Halibut. The forward view would be for beaching it or anchoring offshore. Our tides can range from 0 to 28ft .

In your opinion what would be the best unit for me this livescope are the humminbird helix mega si and down. My style of fish is mostly trolling for pike
@RyanMoodyFishing5 жыл бұрын
kieran grimley totally different functions. Any GARMIN unit that has LIVESCOPE capability will also have UHD (equivalent to Mega) SI and Down. Take a look at the new GARMIN ULTRA 105 and 125

@@RyanMoodyFishing ok I was looking at the garmin echomap ultra 122sv???
@kierangrimley69785 жыл бұрын
And what do you think
@RyanMoodyFishing5 жыл бұрын
kieran grimley pretty sure it’s the Ultra 125. There is a 1222 xsv but you might be better off with the ULTRA as I’m not sure if the 1222 takes the GT54. You’ll have to ask a dealer that one.

Hi Ryan. What are we missing out by having the livescope without other sonar equipment? Do you recond it would work well in any type of water or it has its specialties? for ex: offshore with depth around 100m. What limitation do u see in livescope?
@RyanMoodyFishing5 жыл бұрын
bolladeen it’s not a replacement for 2D and sidescan mate. It’s more for for observing them while fishing. To find fish and new spots you still need the other methods. Check out www.ryanmoodyfishing.com/signup/sounder-big-picture/

Michael Doll that’s a custom made one mate we had done when we had the boat built.

How did you get the ground to look different vs it all being one color pallet?

Tony Yang it’s called the bottom fill function.

You need to adjust your settings to make fish easier to identify.
@RyanMoodyFishing5 жыл бұрын
Billy Jack I’m not sure what you mean mate. They were not giant tarpon swimming under the transducer like you see on the commercials. To see the shape of the fish better they need to be closer to the transducer and the bigger fish the better. I can still see these fish pretty well. If you have some suggestions I’m happy to try them out.

Unfair is spending 30k on fishing gear, and countless hours fishing for something that's not even around you, going home telling your wife, you wasted a whole day and got nothing to show for it. Now your a cheater and a liar. 😂 you get what I'm saying 😂
