Potato in a medium planter box thing. Yes small planter boxes is *intended* for potatoes and beets, but I just made a bunch of medium boxes. When I eventually run out of pineapple and melon seeds I'd naturally be making use of the slots with my beets

I prefer not putting the headlamp on in the yacht because its easier to see the outlines of pick ups. I missed the key in the bathroom my first time round because of this.

I only recently heard about the dupe glitch and while I do use it, I try to do so sparingly. For instance I'm building up my raft and need LOTS of wood, so I dupe seeds. I'm still willing to put in the effort of growing and harvesting the wood, but I need some damn seeds to grow! lol

My rule is NEVER make a raft larger than what one engine can propel... There is no need and you just burn through WAY too many resources... not only building it, but powering it. Think that is a 10x10 and you can easily make it 2 stories. That is enough to fit everything... and still have plenty of decorations. You missed a few tricks. You did not mention is you can place garden plots on top of grass and they can still use it in they can reach even a sliver of it. Sprinklers are great for grass, but not needed for other plots as you only water them when you plant them. The main one is NEVER use scarecrows they suck. Just surround you gardens with walls. I use basic walls with windows and a basic door. Then I put a palm leaf roof on it. You can not rely on rain to your crops and grass, but he birds can not touch your stuff. I also think you can not put planters on the wall as I have seen the birds glitch partially through the walls. Just put the planters on the floor. And the Chapter 3 update is out. There is 5 new heads/trophies, something like 8 recipes and 20 blueprints... YES 20!!!!!! There is also some cool things to buy and the easiest way to get titanium. You will need to catch 60 fish though, but that does not take that long. One issue I have is the recipes for the smoothie machine. Almost none of them use the fruit... pineapples, mango, or watermelon. They mostly use coconuts and beets... WHY? You also have 3 new spices used in recipes but the ONLY way to get them is to buy them from the trader. You can not grow them or forage for them EVER.

The deal with the 3 new spices is that they’re all used in recipes that actually provide a stat boost rather than just refilling hunger like most of the other recipes, so I guess the developers idea was that they shouldn’t be too spammable, especially since one of them straight up lets you cheat death. Also, while the regular scarecrows definitely suck, I’ve found that the advanced scarecrow does work, and keeps the birds away forever, so that’s another option.

@@daxain7368 By the time you get the advanced scarecrow you will likely already have your plants inside. You can still spam those meals as you get 5 spices for 1 cube... or about 30 palm leaves, plastic, or feathers... and less for other stuff. Seeing as it only took me a few hours to get enough cubes for about 60 titanium I think I can spam these recipes too. My refrigerator is filled with stacks of 5 completed recipes. I even took the time to upgrade me nets to advanced. It was a huge waste, but why not when titanium is so easy to get now. It did take me a bit to find the 6th smoothie recipe. I still need to go pick up the last playable character still.

funnily enough resource games are the one genre I and many others do not play with efficiency in mind, i am there to mash things together out of creativity. See if i can make the game spit back at me like Josh from lets game it out. Generally I play survival/building/management games with the motivation of taking as long as possible. Like why do you want to build the minimum size needed for everything and then just blast through a game meant to spark creativity, people are making entire yachts in this game and it is cool.
