This video takes you on an exciting drive through the Ryfylketunnelen, the longest undersea road tunnel in the world! Stretching over 14.4 kilometers, the tunnel takes you through a beautiful and dramatic part of Norway. With an impressive depth of 292 meters below sea level, it is a truly unique experience to drive through this tunnel. The Ryfylke tunnel was opened to traffic at 12.00 on Monday 30 December 2019. The tunnel is part of the Ryfast project and is an underwater tunnel on national highway 13 between Nord-Jæren and Ryfylke under the Horgefjord in Rogaland.
The video was recorded on 15 July 2020. We drove from Stavanger highway 509 via Hundvåg highway 13 and finally Tau.

As a formerly common guest to Norway I haven't even heard about this tunnel, but I have visited the majority of the Stave Churches, during the years. And I sadly failed to walk to Pulpit Rock when I passed it, many years ago! But I may invite you to drive through the new Fehmarn Belt tunnel, when it has been finished in some years? 18 kilometer below the water.

It's always interesting to hear about others' experiences traveling in Norway. While the Fehmarn Belt tunnel is not located in Norway, it does sound like an exciting engineering feat. I hope to have the opportunity to visit it once it's completed. As for the Stave Churches and Pulpit Rock, those are definitely must-see destinations in Norway. Perhaps you'll have a chance to do a hiking to Pulpit Rock in the future. And if you ever make it back to Norway, there are plenty of other amazing sights and experiences to discover.

Yes exactly. Lærdalstunnelen is 24509 meters and Ryfylketunnelen is 10 kilometers shorter.
