It’s Finneas singing on the track with her, they don’t consider himself a ‘guest singing’ on any of her tracks. They are an extension of one another musically, they’ve talked about that before. Finneas isn’t looking to pull attention away from Billie, he has his own music career but started writing specifically for Billie when he realized the talent she had when he asked her to sing Ocean Eyes for him when he couldn’t make it sound the way he was envisioning it himself. Since then they’ve been writing together, but Finneas sings on a lot of her earlier tracks, less nowadays, but yeah, it’s typically him and a lot of layering of her own vocals.

There's a live version of this song from the Greek Theater and it's so moving. Billie and Finneas are singing together, Billie starts to cry, and then the whole audience sings in the last bit when the chorus swells. I tear up everytime.

Yeah, that IS Finneas. There's some really great footage in the documentary film The World's A Little Blurry of a live performance of this where she's sitting on a suspended bed beside Finneas, who's playing his guitar and singing live backing vocals for her, and this was JUST AFTER she'd been broken up with her boyfriend with whom she'd been in a VERY SERIOUS RELATIONSHIP INDEED, so when she gets to the third verse, just after the bridge, she just breaks down crying and can't quite finish the song, but her fans just start singing along louder and finish it for her. It's really sweet. This is my favourite song of hers.

Honestly, I would love to see you guys check out Finneas. He just dropped an album recently! Also, this song reminds me of a song by Taylor Acorn called, "Famous Last Words", the song talks about a girl saying something to a guy, but it's never mentioned what it is. Then you read the song title and put it together. "Famous Last Words" = "I Love You".
