Ryobi 40V Whisper String Trimmer Unboxing and Review

Unboxing and review of my latest Ryobi pruchase-the 40V Whisper String Trimmer 17” model #RY402011 It is the trimmer and battery combo for $269 at Home Depot. My goal was to get the 18V Whisper trimmer but they are not in stock and they are only $20 cheaper also. I wanted to keep it in the 18V family yet recommendations for the trimmer were to go 40 for my yard size. I did not edit too much out. The total time putting it together was around 30 minutes due to me not paying attention on the shaft installation and a little bit of time lining up and screwing in the guard.

I am!! Too funny!! They are the universal tool!! Thanks for watching and good catch on the snips. Started with ATT, which became SWBT, then SBC, than back to at&t before I retired. Went from party lines to fiber services. Lots of changes but the tools we used were always very good!!

The 6amp battery is $199 at Home Depot. They also have a 8am battery for $249 as well. My 4amp battery uses about 50% while I trim the yard. That’s driveway, sidewalk, patio, and around the entire yard (.6 acres).
