I believe that the 5/8 radius filler piece goes back in but in reverse for 1/4 radius and square. The back side of it is straight rather than curved thus still supporting the bearing w/o the 5/8 radius.

Thanks for the video! Bought one to use for installing 6 new interior bedroom doors. Your video was very clear.

Very nicely done sir 👍👍 Great Demo. Remarkable how easy the jig makes it. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and videos Rodney

The piece you took off at 4:04 can go right back in the slot but facing the other direction so it won't get lost

Thanks, I just forgot to put it back in. Clever design

Nice practical demo and review. Thanks. Does it support routing the jamb as well or just the door?
@ChristopherJohnson-zd8sx3 жыл бұрын
No sir it does not. I use the Milescraft Hinge Mate 150 to mortise jambs and the ryobi for door slabs. Ryobi also make a great latch mortising jig.

You said those were square hinges but I didn't see you chisel out the 1/4 inch radius in the mortise. It looked like you forced the second square hinge into the 1.4 inch radius mortise.

Anyone else notice how clean and organized all these shops are? My place stays like that for 3 days.

I clean it before a video, otherwise it's chaos from all the projects!

Bro set the depth of the router bit the hard way. Use the adjustable router plate.

The new adjustable hinge size block is crap it pops up from vibration when you use a palm router. It may be OK with a full size router with a larger base plate,but with a palm router......crap!

But its not good for u.k hinges right? Only american.
@livefreeandtoolon3 жыл бұрын
honestly not sure, I thought they were universal?

Try to use a hinge without curve ? see what u get .
@bromarvids51862 жыл бұрын
Always have to chisel the rounded corners if you have a squared hinge. No getting round that (no pun intended).
