The best thing about Ryobi is that Ryobi batteries fit all Ryobi tools no matter how old. The other companies hange the battery type with every up grade so you have to buy new batteries and chargers

What’s amazing is the five piece set I purchased 20 yrs ago For 199.00 is still 199.00 just purchased it for my son 199. Truly amazing now that’s a good company. Every tool from that kit still works AND. I have purchased very few batteries namely because I charge them properly !

I've been using Ryobi for years and I've always expected less that what I got, like when you buy harbor freight. However, this is not the case. In my pile of power tools that don't work any more there are no Ryobi tools, I never feel like I've been ripped off. So I'm actually impressed with Ryobi's performance. Even my old blue Ryobi tools still work. I can not kill my old blue impact driver, I've even gotten a new one anticipating that old one giving out and it just won't die. I get a smirk on my face when I see a contractor using Ryobi, and they can't hide it cuz the damn things practically glow in the dark. Thanks for the video Clint

Since I own the Ryobi battery system it would be nice if Ryobi would build a battery operated recreational wagon. The type of wagon you see at baseball, football, picnic, etc. They carry everything that people have at those events and more. I think it would be a winner.

The blower is awesome! I use it with a 9ah bat-ree and it's been more than enough for my needs. Less than half the time to blow my yard then with my previous blower. I was blown away! LOL!

Hey, I had one of the earlier versions of the laser level but I found that it "burnished" the area under the suction cup. It worked well but the mark it left behind was a deal breaker.

A LOT of guys crap on Ryobi and yeah, they're kinda wimpy compared to team teal or team red or even team mustard but honestly, if you're just using them around the house and aren't already invested in someone else's battery system Ryobi is probably the best at making it easy to justify buying whatever new tool. They're good enough for home gamer use and honestly, they have EVERYTHING, from hot glue guns to yard tools. Yes, Milwaukee/Makita/DeWalt is better for shop or jobsite use, if only to avoid getting laughed at but the big 3 are usually 50-100% more expensive for the same tool.

Believe or not some of the pros use them because they are competent enough and they are very affordable to buy several of the same type of tools instead of one tool for their assistance at work for the price of one of the BIG RED, YELLOW, & BLUE or Black brands tool.

I’ve got the older air grip laser projecting level and I love it. It sucks itself to a lot of surfaces and it came with a foam pad to help it stick to more rough surfaces. I don’t think it’ll stick to a popcorn ceiling but drywall, plaster, wall paper (all the ones I had), plywood, tile, fairly rough cut wood, and so on are not an issue for it to suck itself to. I’ve never needed the additional foam seal for it to stick to any of the surfaces I just listed. It works much better than I expected. The only downside is turning it on while keeping it level is kinda hard and it really doesn’t like to rotate once it’s sucked onto something. Hopefully they changed the switch design so it’s easier to turn on while keeping it level.

I have a mix of brand for tools. I get ryobi for the random projects I won’t be doing a lot. I got the old level. My father in law and my dad both used it and loved it so much I got both of them one. It’s the only ryobi tools they have and they both use it all the time and constantly bring up how handy it is lol. It just works well and it’s easy to keep around.

The last company i worked for one of the oldest guys used ryobi tools he picked up in the 90s. They still worked JUST fine and he was super clumsy and always dropping them. batteries still worked

The only time that I've had to repair one is from dropping it to a 10' step ladder, and then all that happened is a cracked case. It only cost me $10 for the replacement, and I did it myself over 30 years ago. Still working, but I haven't replaced the battery because I upgraded from 14v.

My first Ryobi was the blue drill when I switched from B&D and CRAFTSMAN corded tools and some other no faith to their battery upgrade or available replacement battery tool brands. Then comes the new lithium ion battery 🔋, I am impressed with the power after the nicad 🔋got weaker and weaker. Afterward, there's no turning back but expanded to the over 100+ same platform eco system. Boy, am I glad! Definitely no regrets.

How many categories do they need to cover in outdoor power equipment cause I believe they have 10 plus different push mowers not including the joystick zero turns or the tractor mowers And leaf blowers they now have 550cfm,600cfm,650cfm two 730cfm and with each tool they have many different options depending on much you want to spend don’t get me wrong there great I’m a hard core in to the 40v platform but wow to a of options

I use green Ryobi everyday. Reserving the RED Milwaukee for the extra big tough material crisis only a few random cases. Ends up with more affordable GREEN 💚 brand of 100+ eco system than the expensive but good RED brand.

I believe that Bosch and Milwaukee are better quality, but at 2-4x the cost, its not really cost effective for your average DIYer. I'll prolly be switching over the Ryobi eco system soon, especially since you can get a 10% military discount at Home Depot. I have a couple of Harbor Frieght (bottom of the barrel tools) for a projects I do maybe every 3 years. Ridgid pist me off when trying to make a warranty claim with all this small print b.s., so aint going back to them.

Given Ryobi is both made and sold by the same company as Ridgid, I would look into warranty process, as I don't know how much different it will be. HD no longer warranties the tools in store. You have to send them off. If I had to start over, I'd go to Hercules brushless, since the quality is about on par with Ridgid and you can walk into any store and swap it out in five minutes.

The battery form factor and warranty horror stories have slowed my 18V tool purchases from them, though I've bought more non-tool items like speakers, lights, and fans this past year, as well as moved to their 40V platform for the things I could, so I'm overcommitted, but concerned. I'm so bothered by those batteries that are so big and take up so much space that I don't want to enter the platform. A platform that brings out as many tools as Ryobi. If you already have a battery platform, they do sell adapters that you can use them in ryobi tools. They're like $10-$15. I was already heavy with milwaukee platform but bought a couple of ryobi tools and use the adapters with the milwaukee batteries. Haven't had an issue yet

Some of my tools have 4 connectors and so do my batteries, but when using an adapter only two connectors are used, what function do the other two connectors do and what damage can it do to the battery? Also hear that many tools communicate with batteries through sensors such as temperature or disuse to avoid damaging the battery. That scares me, that by using an adapter it will damage the batteries and be more expensive in the end.

@@arbuckleworkshop9857 I have RIDGID and Hart tools. The problem is that RIDGID is very slow to release new tools, and if it does, it's more of the same. A new drill or impact driver, and Hart is just as slow as RIDGID at pulling out new tools, but for a cheap tool brand, batteries and some tools are much more expensive than Ryobi.
