I love that Aqua Revue takes the time to teach each customer that’s new to using lily pipes how to properly handle them. Also, not all fish stores will tell you this but when you break your ADA lily pipes, you can trade the broken ones in for brand new ones at a discounted price. Be sure to follow me on Instagram @ryowatanabee for more pictures and updates 😊

This was Helpful. I need a good output closer to the surface for my axolotl. A lily pipe seems perfect. What kind of soft tubing is that? I have to get mine from a hardware store and it’s too rigid.

Thank you for sharing the instructional video from that nice lady. I wish I've watched it before I broke mine a month ago. She is absolutely right, the neck part is the weakest section. In the future, I wonder if you can introduce how to install a guard on the intake pipe for those of us who have shrimp in the tank.
@RyoWatanabee4 жыл бұрын
I don’t know about that as we’ve never used one before since we’re not breeding small shrimp but I guess just try to be gentle and patient with putting the guard over the intake

Ryo, Another interesting and informative video. One small tip you might consider; it would have been nice if you showed the manager's face in the beginning--as an introduction.Maybe that's just me but it seems polite? I am one of those people who likes a little bit of algae (because it is a natural part of the eco system).In fact, as an experiment, I am thinking about letting the back wall of my 150L get covered in it whilst still cleaning sides and front. Anyway, love your work. Greetings from New Zealand.
@RyoWatanabee4 жыл бұрын
Well yes. I asked her that but you’ve got to consider too that some people don’t like to be on camera. Thanks for your comment though 😊 For an aquascaped tank, I’d love to have zero algae in it. If it’s like a goldfish tank or just a regular tank I wouldn’t mind purposely growing some algae as it’s also quite beneficial. Just enjoy the process and if you don’t like it, you can always get rid of the algae 😃
@Moamanly4 жыл бұрын
@@RyoWatanabee I only have WCMMs in mine...they like algae so no worries there! I love your planted '60' btw.....I would eventually like to achieve a 'scape like that. I am, not very patiently, waiting for my plants to grow and fill out the tank.....

Use clear acrylic tubing. Never break and cleaning could be by brushpipe or soak in bleach- right? I myself just see clear as an algae and bacteria magnifying glass. Black tubing and clear acrylic Lily output would work just as well. I know the goal is to return the water flow with least disturbance..but that blown glass Lilly Tube from so many accounts is just too fragile. When I think of how many heater tubes that have broken over the decades..🤦♂️
