Your English is coming along nicely! Keep up the awesome work! I love the insight to your culture and your world. It's neat to see the small things you might not have even considered to be interesting. For example the decor choices, product branding, markets, transportation and more. Cheers!

Ryoya just gave me a really good idea for learning Japanese. Recite a memorized phrase for something I am actually DOING. This will improve retention tremendously. Now, how do I know if the phrase is the correct one? 😅
@kunokoaeri35055 жыл бұрын
I usually learn by making a phrase and then write it in a translator. If it makes sense. Thats good !

この動画を見せてくれてありがとうございます! I was expecting a nice vlog about kitchen improvements. I found a small treasure made of everyday life with warmth and kindness from the people you live with. And yeah, thank you SO MUCH for showing every time little parts of Kyoto. I lived there for 3 months in 2017, and watching the Gion exit on Kamogawa brought the best memories I have. Hopefully, this year I will be back there. It's just the most beautiful city in the world (and I live in Venice rn).

A public bath is normally refereed to as a "bath house" or "bathhouse"; though, "spa" can also be used, but the connotations, and therefore the experience, are not quite the same. A bathhouse is most like a 銭湯, while a spa is a place you go to get pampered and massaged.
@cristinasujoy5 жыл бұрын
Bathhouse has creepier, rather dubious connotations. Not exactly the family oriented, respectable ambiance of an onsen. Hot spring bath maybe or hot spring spa?
@confusedwhale5 жыл бұрын
@@cristinasujoy: But he didn't go to an onsen. He went to a "sento", which is like a bathhouse. Just because there are some people that associate "bathhouse" with gay people and gay sex, does not mean that all bathhouses are places to fornicate in.
