About as good as he NEEDS to be at this game. Seriously: he had to be the playtester for this, because it's very clearly doable, and he would want it to go a specific way. The skill at building a hack with this much difficulty, and have it be fair to a degree (as in feasibly beatable and defeats are not through faulty design making it impossible) is about as high as the skill to beat it.

I've seen GrandPooBear's playthrough of this game already but seeing your reaction to each level is still as fun as watching this game for the first time, and it is also really funny to see which parts are easier or harder to you compared to GPB. I love how well the secret exits are done in the game. Especially this one: When you first enter the level, you'll think the webs are just there to look nice. The level itself later teaches you that webs are climbable... right after you hit the checkpoint. So it's almost impossible someone playing the game blind would find the secret exit first, yet it's not because it's hidden in a really dumb spot.

Thank you, I was trying to remember where I had heard the music from. The Sega version of the game wasn't that good. Sunsoft made the NES version, which is amazing, and it's arguably the best looking game on the system. Not only does the Hanzo Castle have some Shinobi III music, the level itself is similar to the level "Traps", and the wall jumping is totally something Shinobi does, very clever!

7:26 And no one else I've watched has found that one. So congratulations on being the first person I've seen to find that particular hidden block. That moment at 10:28 when Ryu doesn't notice what happened and carries on. This section confused a lot of people, Barb could have done a much better job of showing what the trick was, as it is not at all intuitive. More fun watching, thank Ryu.

I challenge ryu to the 5 life from easy to expert challange. Reward for finishing each difficulty is double his remaining lives up to double his started lives for the last difficulty. Easy start 5, max of 10 for normal difficulty, max of 20 for expert and a max of 40 for super expert.

At first i was like you, "I'd never make an unfair course, I'll always make good decent courses". While I still don't make many troll courses, but you can make good troll levels, the sort of levels you watch DGR playing, the bad troll courses are the inventive course that you see in super expert.
