Many archaelogists in the US believe that the first Americans came from Japan in the Jomon era. It is amazing to know that the Jomon people moved along the Pacific ocean rim by boat to reach North America between 16,000 and 17,000 years ago (but some reseachers beleives it pushing back to 30,000 years ago). Without viewing Daria's videos, I couldn't get interested in the Jomon. According to the NHK BS TV program "Footprints of the Ice Age Revived", the stone tools similar to Jomon design were found in White Sans National Park in the US. I hope Jomon potteries and/or Dogu figures can be found in the North America someday.
