So basically , if a nut is 6 sided, then 6 flats equals one full turn or 360 degrees. So if it calls for 24 flats , then you divide 24 by 6 , and you get 4 turns. Hope this makes sense.
@rsanchez56762 жыл бұрын
24 flats is not understood by most but number of complete and partial turns is more easily understood.

Any problems removing the bolts to the tappet covers? I heard of bolts breaking having to remove the engine to get the broken bolt extracted!
@SSCycleInc6 жыл бұрын
We have heard of this issue, due to the Loctite patch on the stock bolts. Some heat applied carefully to the center of the bolt head can help them to break loose.

Do you have to inflate the tappet before installing the push rods?
@SSCycleInc6 жыл бұрын
Hey there - not sure what you mean by "inflate" - but you don't have to do anything to the tappet to install. Here's the instructions www.sscycle.com/docs/default-source/instruction-sheets/510-0575-tappet-cuffs-for-m8.pdf?sfvrsn=2

If you have to wait 20min for them to "bleed down". It will take that long to get the bike on a jack. So, would they have not been bleed down by assemble time.

plastic tappet cuffs another mistake for Harley, they should have learned from twin cam mistakes
@levievans93115 жыл бұрын
Some plastics are extremely strong and engineered to withstand heat.On the flip side.I am pretty sure Harley knows and refused to spend the money to metal them all out and said.Let them pay for it.Either though personal preference or when upgrading to uh stage 3 or 4 Screamin Eagle kit.Which has not been going well for customer's.😲😤🤑
