In this channel quite good there had two style at same time. you can learn different types of English in short period for beginners. I really recommend beginners to listen this channel for them.😊❤

May I ask a question ? How to use /not the least/as an answer . And what does it mean? Thanks.
@highlevellistening8 ай бұрын
The phrase "not in the least" is an idiomatic expression used to emphasize a strong denial or negation. It means "not at all" or "absolutely not." When used as an answer, it's a way to emphatically reject a suggestion, idea, or question that was posed, indicating that the speaker disagrees completely or is not affected in any way by what was mentioned. Here's an example of how "not in the least" can be used in conversation: Person A: "Were you bothered by the noise last night?" Person B: "Not in the least. I slept right through it." In this example, Person B uses "not in the least" to strongly convey that the noise did not bother them at all. Hope that helps!

@highlevellistening27 күн бұрын
Very good question. I would say no. You can say: - I need to pop into the shop. - I need to drop by the shop - I need to swing by the shop - I need to pop to the shop. All of these are accepted and have the same meaning too! It's always a great learning method to try combinations and ask if they are common or not, so well done 👏

Oh my gosh! These days before school start, to do list is pretty packed. First off, i need to hit to the grocery store fore some essentials but it end up with hours in store unfortunately to grab everything i liked. After that, i need to hit the shop store for some essentials like backpack pencil clothes for school but unfortunately also i spend hours as usually 😂. Then there 's a quick stop at the pharmacy for a prescription refill. In the afternoon, i 'm planning to donate some old clothes , books, furniture at goowill store and if i manage to squeeze in some extra time. I 'll return a couple of overdue library books.But then, i'll need to head home and stat getting dinner ready. Just a typical day, really.

Thank you ❤ Is the word " overwhelmed " is negative or we can use it in a positive way?
@highlevellistening10 ай бұрын
Hi there, overwhelmed usually means stressed or having too many things going on in a stressful and negative way, however it can also be used to mean much more than expected, like “we were shocked by the overwhelming response from our friends and neighbors” which can also be more positive, but it’s still a lot to deal with!
@ManalAltairy10 ай бұрын
@highlevellistening thank you for your response, so the sentence, I am overwhelmed by your kindness is completely wrong!?
@highlevellistening9 ай бұрын
I was "overwhelmed by your kindness" is totally correct. In this sentence, overwhelmed means it was more than I expected, in a positive and surprising way :)

Hello, you used 'for a cheap price', when you were talking about a charity shop. I'm wondering if that is correct in English? I'm leaning more towards a low price or a cheap thing. Can you comment please?
@highlevellistening9 ай бұрын
We have a few different ways to express the same idea along with the ones you mentioned. Low/cheap/good/normal/high/expensive prices Cheap prices sound like the cost is low Cheap goods/items/things could also mean that the quality is not very good, even if you paid a higher price for it Hope that helps!
