54 footer! Impressive. Sage words of wisdom for future boat owners. Prices are getting high in the DR and Colombia. In Samana, the prices for a slip are more expensive than in most American locations. I took my Tartan 37 from the DR and currently have it in Guatemala. Better prices and good service.

Great video Danny, as a fellow Caribbean dweller (a Brit, 16 years in Trinidad and have worked in several islands and a life in construction around the world) I love your videos of Malibu and your life there in DR I'm so impressed with your sailing professionalism and the way you effortlessly weave in the important sailing and safety aspects and the way you make sure viewers are aware of all the stuff that goes with living and working in paradise. i like your stuff. Man that grounded boat needed a hull cleaning. YOU SHOULD contact the owner (for a fee of course as a captain) and take control of floating it as your are a captain and he would trust you based on your KZbin vidoes. I'm writng this as the video is running so not sure yet what the outcome is. It is obvious you are honest and worthy of trust based on your vids.
