I can't believe how loud that outboard is. I would concoct some kind of noise mitigation.

Excellent briefing and narrated passage to the Chesapeake … thanks! My work used to take me on occasion to Andrews AFB and at the weekends I’d always drive over to Chesapeake Bay … from Annapolis to Norfolk, plenty of really great maritime museums, so much to see and did I mention the crab cakes … yum! Bon voyage and hold fast! ⛵️🇨🇦🌞

What beautiful November weather and waters, especially since there is a raging winter storm came through the area last night and today. I see you motoring much more than in Wave Rover 1. The ICE outboard works to your advantage. I originally thought that an electric outboard would have been good since the motor's battery could recharge with solar panels.

@@RoversAdventure - Having an electric outboard on my Capri 22 made me sail much more rather than motor. Sailing Uma went all the way to the arctic and coasts of Europe with only an electric, so it can be done. But my Catalina 310 has a 25 hp diesel. This one does "spoil" me while giving more options as you stated. It's all in how one wants to travel on one's journey. Taking the inland waterways, stopping at interesting places, AND most importantly traveling back to see Mrs. Rover frequently is good for both of you. You are not on a "around the world" solo non-stop sail. I think your approach is quite enjoyable.

The Wave Rover hatch is hinged and can be secured from the inside. It is a serious sea going hatch.

Inboard means more hassle, several more holes in the boat, more weight, etc. An electric outboard would be best, get rid of the noise.

I agree completely with the first sentence but an electric motor would not have had the range to do what I did in this video. This small inexpensive OB gives me so many options.
